Description

Huge coarse white head. Deep yellow body with ongoing carbonation. Sweet fruity aroma with notes of banana. Taste is sweet banana with quite a bit of bitterness. Some soft metal hops in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel. Hoppy taste lingers. Overall surprisingly hoppy. One of the least complex blondes, but still nice. (0.33l bottle.)

brown clear amber with white head. Sweet Malty & fruity. Little amount of spices. soft & smooth texture. Short finish. Like a lot of the other "leffe’s" pleasant but really has no bite. No force - allround.

On tap at Carlsens "skvatter" (Odense): brown abbey ale with fine white head. Creamy texture- filling mouthfull. Nutty and malty aroma. Medium carbonated. Overall pleasant and better than the "blonde" if it is comparable!

clear golden with little quick disappearing white head. Malty and spicy aroma. mouthfull is watery - thin texture. Finish is spicy and a bit bitter! This blonde is highly overrated! Much better "Belgian blondes "out there!

Bottled. Copper-colored with a large off-white head. Almost no carbonation. Pleasant aroma of candi, cassis, spices, prunes and some alcohol. Sweet flavor, typical Belgo, but too sweet. Dried fruits as well. Nice, full, sweet body and pleasant bitterness in the finish. Some alcohol too. A decent beer. (060518)

Nice 330ml bottle. Dark brown in colour with a off-white foam. Sweet malty nose. Flavour of caramel, toffee and citrus. Yeasty and bitter ending. Medium bodied. Good, but maybe a little too sweet (Oslo. 24.05.2006).
