Bottle online from Beerhouseshop.be. Pours a murky chestnut/red colour with a medium sized thick creamy beige head. Aromas of berries, caramel, bread and light citrus notes. Taste has more of the notes in the aroma with added spice, orange peel, roasted malts and a little burnt sugar. Light to medium body with a smooth mouthfeel. Some bitterness and sweetness on the finish. Nice beer.

Bought 38 bottles of 10 yo + Belgian beers and had this in there. Don’t think I’ve had it before but why not try it for the first time with a best before date of 2008! Ledge Brune 6.5% Deep ruddy brown with just a tiny wisp of carbonation/head. Big fruity caramel aroma, medium bodied and tons of sweet fruitiness, caramel, cherry, raisins, actually surprisingly good. It held up well.

Dégustation intéressante pour cette Leffe brune. Pas réellement pour cette Leffe brune qui est une double bien banale, mais surtout parce que j'en ai fait une double dégustation avec un exemplaire dont la date était passée depuis 3 ans et un autre passé depuis 7 années. Et si la première n'a pas bougé sur des arômes simples de chocolats caramel et noisette avec de légères épices, sur une fine amertume et des corpulences et longueurs juste correctes, la deuxième voit son alcool plus prégnant, avec une modernisation, une corpulence plus développée et des arômes plus corsés avec notamment des armes de cafés qui s'expriment. Avec la madérisation elle aurait tendance tout de même à devenir écœurante... Côté visuel, nous sommes sur un même brun limpide avec une mousse beige recouvrant la surface. Match nul finalement, pour une double quelque peu décevante.

Bottle online from Beerhouseshop.be. Pours a hazy golden/amber colour with a thick creamy off-white head. Aromas of bananas, cloves, bread, spices, brown sugar and hints of candy. Taste is pretty much the same notes from the aroma with hints of bubblegum. Medium to body, smooth slightly sticky mouthfeel, fruity and sweet finish. Very nice beer.

33cl can from Cora in Brussels. F: medium, pale tanned, good retention. C: dark with dark coppery tones against the light, clear. A: light dark malts, bit dark bread, caramel. T: light malty base, bit roasted tones, dark bread crust, decent bitterness, medium carbonation, ok for what it is.

Bottle, as Leffe de Noël. Pours slightly hazy amber with stable off-white head. Clear aroma of malt, caramel and yeast, with touches of cloves and cinnamon. Seeetish and spicy flavour of caramel malt, yeast, cinnamon, cloves and yeast, with bitter touches of hops. Estery and spicy aftertaste. Reasonable but nothing special for the style.

Served from PerfectDraft Off white creamy head stayed on an amber body. Nutty, malt & caramel aroma. Medium bodied, creamy with a clean back. Malt, caramel, fruity, toffee & sweet berry tastes. Very nice.
