Sampled @ Koelschtrinker Tasting. A hazy dark orange brown beer with a small beige head. Aroma ripe banana, dark fruits, wheat. Taste of strong riped fruits, ripe banana, caramel, sugar.

Sampled from 1 l bottle, best before March 2018. Slightly hazy, dark brownish amber with a frothy, beige head. Sweetish-malty, slightly yeasty-spicy and a little roasty aroma of caramel, nuts, overripe banana and clove. Quite sweet, malty, slightly roasty and moderately yeasty-spicy taste of overripe banana, cloves, nuts and some milk chocolate, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly yeasty-spicy finish. Medium body, slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice!

Schnapp-Flascherl (0,01hl): A bit unclear, deep ruby-amber coloured, slowly collapsing loose off-white head; moderate sweetish-bitter nose of caramel , dried fruits and toasted malt, blended with rural-barnyardy aromas and a very faint tinge of herbal hops; relatively dry, but quite light bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied, soft; dryish, a bit ashy, a bit rural, but mainly caramelly and fruity finish with herbal-hoppy traces in the slightly lingering aftertaste. Unusual Tmavý, but very pleasant...

(swing top bottle, 100cl) Hazy, dark brown colour with a ruby shine and beige medium-sized foamy head. Rustic dark and moderately roasted malty aroma with notes of chocolate, caramel, leather, also hints of molasses and dried fruits. Moderately sweet and delicately bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Mildly roasted, slightly juicy and molassy dark malt character with notes of chocolate, caramel, dark bread/Pumpernickel and cautious spicy hoppy notes; lingering sweet-bitter finish with notes of chocolate in the aftertaste. Very well-crafted Dunkel. 04.XII.17

Deutlich bananiger Geruch. Hefig-bananiger, mild süßer Antrunk. Wässriger Hintergrund, etwas zu süß, karamellig. Mittelstarke helle Malzigkeit, die Bananigkeit bleibt angenehm. Ganz nett. 7/10/9/9/8/9

Weicher, hell herber Beginn. Mild hefig, zunehmend getreidig, dann etwas hopfig, süffig. Ab dem Mittelteil sind hintergründig karamellige Nuancen vorhanden, die die Süffigkeit noch unterstützen. Die Herbe füllt den Vordergrund dann stärker aus, geringe Süße. Mittellanger, hopfig-getreidiger Nachgeschmack. 10/11/10/11/9/11

Fläschla (1000ml):Hazy to cloudy, amber coloured, small stable off-white head; sweetish toasty-malty with some nutty and bready traces plus a certain fruitiness, balancing hops in the background; moderate sweet-bitter flavour;nearly medium bodied; lingering and slightly drier toasty-nutty and herbal finish. (swing top bottle, 100cl, bought at the brewery in Schnaitsee) Cloudy, dark amber to brown colour with a medium-sized off-white foamy head. Berry-fruity and wheaty aroma with delicately toasted notes, caramel and whiff of banana. Sweet flavour, full bodied with a soft carbonation. Mildly toasted malty and moderately wheaty taste with berry notes, banana and candied fruits; sweet and delicately sour-fruity finish again with notes of candied fruits and a whiff of booze in the aftertaste. Likeable but not my favourite beer of the Baderbräu portfolio. 27.III.17

(swing top bottle, 100cl) Clear, bright amber colour with a beige and firm medium-sized foamy head. Dark malty, mildly toasted aroma with notes of caramel, a nutty touch, chocolate and subtle honey-ish fruity accents, backed by herbal hoppy spice. Sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a slightly prickly carbonation. Moderately toasted and slightly nutty malt character with bready notes, caramel and a whiff of chocolate; almost dry, mildly sweet malty and balanced hop bitter finish with a tinge of herbal spice, as well as chocolate and caramel in the aftertaste. A very good, well-crafted Märzen. 09.III.17
