ABV: 5.2%. Clear medium to light amber colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, hay, straw, caramel, dusty, light toasted, light smoked malt. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average duration, sweet malt, caramel, hay - straw, grass, light toasted, dry, light smoked, hops bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20221125]

Bottle picked up from Sulzberger Bierhaus Pffafenhofen an der Ilm and consumed at home 1st November 2022 listening to Marc Riley and then Tom Robinson on 6Music we had a walk near Manching today and have also picked up Rhys from the airport this evening, we had a very late tea which was Belgian Beef Carbonnade. Pours deep reddy brown with an off-white head, good clarity. The nose is dominated by the malt, there is also toffee and caramel and perhaps a hint of yeast, not so much in the way of hops. Hops do show a little in the flavour department, but the sweetness dominated by the aforementioned caramel and toffee are really the drivers here, there is a big punchy malty underbelly. Nice beer.

50cl bottle. A clear dark golden beer with a off-white head. Aroma of mild biscuit malt, some spicy hops. Taste of mid sweet biscuit malt, spicy hops, pale malt. Moderate bitterness.

Huppendorfer Bier Export, Flasche von REWE, Staffelstein. - Lichtes Kupfergold, blank. - In der Nase milde orangenfruchtige Hopfung, eingebettet in warmes, fein karamelliges und bonbonsüßes Malz, leicht unpassende Butter, ein wenig Honig. - Antrunk vollmundig und sauber gerstig-malzig mit feinen toastigen Zügen und schöner Malzsüße. Dezente aber hintergründige orangenfruchtige und herbale Hopfung mit leichten mediterranen Zügen. Zarte buttrige oder bananige Noten, noch nicht störend. Milder rezent, angenehm mineralisch. Im Abgang gediegene hopfenwürzige Herbe, zart pfeffrig. - Ausgezeichnetes Export mit nur wenig fülligerem, sauber gerstigem Malzkörper und hintergründiger fränkischer Hopfung, dem eine leichte Altersnote einen besonderen Reiz verleiht. 50cl bottle. A clear copper brown beer with a beige head. Aroma of nuts and caramelized malt. Taste of caramelized malt, nuts, spicy hops. Moderate bitter finish.

Bottle @ Getrankemarkt in Memmelsdorf. Pours golden with a white head. Straw, bread, grains and corn. Dusty feel and a touch of dms even.

Getrunken als „Huppendorfer Weizenbier“. Hell orange Farbe. Grüner Apfel in der Nase. Frisch, fruchtig herber Geschmack. Etwas Zitronenschale, ein Hauch von Grapefruit und wieder grüner Apfel. Getreide und Hefe geschmacklich recht dezent. Gelegentlich ein ganz, ganz kurzes Aufblitzen von Röstmalz, Karamell und Weißwein. Sehr lecker, aber vielleicht ein wenig zu spritzig.
