Description
We focus our attention on brewing rustic, unfiltered, aromatic beers that are approachable and unique. We pull from our home brewing background to build beers that pay homage to tradition, but break new ground in American brewing techniques and flavors by blurring the line between beer and wine. We are brewers of big ideas in very small batches.

Tap. Pours lightly hazy golden orange, medium white head, good lacing. Aroma is interesting, bugs, lemon, peach, an herbal note and what must be sake, although I would never have guessed that cold. Flavor is light tart, light plus funk, bright, juicy. Medium body, soft mouthfeel, delicate carbonation.

16oz can. Poured a cloudy golden yellow orange with a medium sized white head. Aroma was nice hazy, juicy citrus and tropical fruits - pineapple. Fresh, tasty. Very easy to drink. Quite a nice, pleasant beer.

750 ml bottle purchased at Sante Adairius Oakland Arbor in Oakland, California shared at a tasting. The pour is a hazed yellow gold with a white head that falls quickly. The aroma is barnyard, citrus and light funk. The taste is bright citric acidity, somewhat funky cherry, nectarine wheat Saison, nice barrel and soft white wine notes. The palate is medium bodied with soft fine carbonation and the lingering citric barrel acidity. Nice one.

500mL bottle, pours a deep dark amber orange with a small white head. Aroma has plenty of tannins, lots of bugs, oak, and red wine grape skins—complex and balanced. Flavour is fairly restrained on the red wine tannins, light oak, and wild yeast. There’s some acidity that’s a bit aggressive, but the tannins and bugs work well. Good stuff.

Pale red, with a slight haze. No head. Fairly effervescent. Has a nice bit of fruit, with some dryness, tannins, and a touch of sweetness towards the finish. Quite nice.

Poured from 500mL bottle. Lightly hazed bright amber reddish-orange with dissipating white head. Tried this directly after Portraits: Malvasia and decisively prefer this. Soft vinous must with mild tannins, semi-dry, nicely balanced.

Dull tan, no head. Hazy. Aroma is dryish, a little buggy, and has a really nice vinous character. On the palate, similar, but the grapes are punchier and the bugs are a little bit punchier.
