750 from their latest bottle club shipment. Month in the basement, couple weeks in the fridge. Mojito glass @home. Cloudy, honey gold. Strong, but short-lived soda head. Iron, earth, macerated bittersweet apples, veg. Very sharp, moderate acidity. Super pithy popsicle, iron, lemon, watery tropical fruit, cherry pit, leftover yeasties, lingering astringent tea in a beautiful way. Great carbonation, solid bite, cleansing, just enough residual yeast to not get creamy. Good to great.

Bottle from their cider club. Mojito glass @home. Started writing this review last night but got so damn bored, I walked away. Notes got erased when the page refreshed. Clear, vibrant gold, mostly still pour. Oak, fresh hay, sharp-nosed apple juice, clay. Kinda muted. Taste is tart skin, sour cherry pits, lemon, old wood, rose, residual yeast, subtle plastic. Very sharp & kinda sour. Intentionally still. Watery, thin, super acidic, low abv. Too thin, small & sharp without any help.

Bottle from their cider club. Mojito glass @home. Didn't realize this was a second vintage from a much loved tree. Clear, bright, intentionally still 10k gold pour. Nose is oak, lemon tea, orange cream. Inviting, but not intense. Taste is mellow lemon iced tea, green strawberry, mustard greens, creamy yeast. Lemon zest lingers on your lips. Bland popsicle finish. It snaps more as it warms. Not as sharp as 21 Albee, but that only had a bit of Northern Spy. Overall projection of flavor is mild & a little disappointing. Basically, it tastes good, but watered down. My '17 rating(in 2020) was similar, but notes it was bold & boozy. Absurdly thin, slightly minerally, way low abv. Not liking the plethora of 6-7% ciders coming through. If there isn't enough to go around, I'd rather it be taproom only then stretched out & released.

No Golden Russet in this one, woohoo! Bottle from their cider club. Lo-ball glass @home. Lots of bubbles for something intentionally still. Clear, gold, hint of orange/amber. Citrusy, white grape, candy nose. Empty front end, high acid lemon tea middle, very sharp & hibiscus-y, touch of peach pith on the back as it dries out. Drinks fast as is. Alcohol is too low, texture too smooth, for what is suppose to be a signature, yearly awaited label. Without the notoriety, it's a great quaffer, but that's not what you're buying. Fine.

Bottle from their cider club. Month i the fridge. Lo-ball @home. Still some floaties, despite the disgorging & settling. Generic 14k gold pour, mostly clear, weak head. Cooked apples & lemons, sharp, pound cake, very faint earthy funk. Oddball. Nice acidity & crab tartness turn into a vanilla citrus cake sort of offering. Like the initial dryness that quince adds, but the leftover perry sugars make it more dessert-y. Finish has just a slight edge of funk to it as it tries to turns back to dry. Solid carbonation, maybe a hair low for Eve's. Alcohol is more accommodating to the flavors, warmer then what they've been putting out lately. Touch of a headache, who knows. Fun.

Bottle from their cider club. Lo-ball @home. Bottle bomb, mostly contained. Extra foamy pours, pale gold, opaque & a bit chunky. Smell is faded spice, sidra, yeast cake, salt. Taste is a little saline & sweet. Vinegar wants to peek out, but doesn't fully. Tart, lime-ish apples, very salty, generic sweetness, drying, clay finish. Too sweet. Thin, frothy, airy, sugary, whatever abv. Great bubbles. Expected more here. A little sloppy for a usually well done brand.

Bottle from the cidery direct. Several months in the basement, few months in the fridge door. Mojito glass @home. Clear, still, shiny, light amber color. Oak, a little innocent rot/stuffiness at first, mellow sweet like hibiscus, uplifting booze as I swish. Not a whole lot of boldness here. Taste is tart & citrusy like Krys, but it's not on the label. Almost orange-y, very sharp but with residual lemon oil sweetness, big acid, green strawberry, popsicle finish that doesn't linger too much. Slick, buttery texture really contrasts the bite nicely. Booze is close, better than last year, but not perfect. The complete randomness year to year really throws the legacy of this label out the window. Good this year.

Bottle from their cider club. Aged at the cidery. Few months in my own fridge. Low-ball glass @home. Rich, deep, greasy, gold color. Clear, aside from some innocent protein wisps. Concentrated apple sugars, peel, & a menthol-like herbal essence in the nose. Dry, tannic & tea-like. Leafy, popsicle stick, calcium, green/unripe berry flavor, too many oaky Russets, earthy with a whiff of maybe funk that doesn't develop. Moderately high acid but very low tartness. Lingering bitter leafy-ness. Strong flavors for only 7%. Mostly thin, watery texture, very tiny amount of residual sugar, still not what it was(they're totally random with the blend now, the label has no meaning). Okay.

Bottle from their Spring cider club. Two months in storage, a week in the fridge. Low-ball glass on the porch. I haven't been a fan of this Golden Russet series. It all has this dirty grass plus a residual earthy yeast note. Maybe it's just that apple. Anyway, this one starts off very filtered/settled, 14k gold, intentionally still, but some suspension. Smell is sharpness from the Krys, a perceived pear-ish syrup, very soft banana & earth. That last part I don't like. Taste upfront is sharp Krys & a strong table grape tannic sweet combo. It settled into sweet eating pear & lemon water with some faint clove. Earthiness lingers way after the acid dips. Blended enough, it covers up & delivers an easier drink. Still, not really too thin, oily feel(maybe I like this?), too low abv (always conveniently 7%), great acid, good tartness, a hair too sweet. It isn't bad, I'm just being grouchy. It's a blend to get rid of meh juice, but tastes fine-ish.

Bottle from their cider club, goblet @home. Clear, medium gold, intentionally still. Yeasty, hearty skin, banana, spice, good potential acid, creme. Taste is only mildly acidic, banana & grass, lemon, creme. Low bitterness, mild acidity, low but acknowledged tartness. Just not a huge fan of Golden Russet.
