Description
D9 Brewing Company, in Lake Norman, N.C., was started by two engineers and a doctor, with a mission to inspire and support community through the creation of exciting and original crafted ales. Since our inception in late 2014, we have invested in the scientific exploration of the natural world to produce the highest quality, and unquestionably original, crafted ales. D9 Brewing is striving to become the leading producer of mixed wild fermented beer in the southeastern United States, and has been awarded multiple prestigious medals in the sour and mixed-wild categories at the Great American Beer Festival (2016/2018).

Bottle from Sams Quick Stop in Durham. Pours clear golden, highly carbonated. Aroma is sour fruit, flight floral notes. Flavor is tart red fruit, green grasses, bread crust, dried flowers. Tasty. Sour.

$2.99 pint can from Vintages by the Dan. Very pale gold with a large white head. Aroma is tart citrus, wheat, coriander, light banana. Flavor is tart lemongrass, wheat, banana, coriander, light stone fruit. Tasty.

Draft at Pizza Peel. Clear golden color medium white head. Aroma of Graham cracker and cocoa. Taste has chocolate with a sour edge, plus crackers and vanilla. Weird but it somehow works

$3.50 bottle, Wine Warehouse. Pours golden with a dusting of a white head. Aroma is some sort of fruit - a berry or red fruit perhaps. Flavor is tart berry, sour something - apple?, bread crust. Nice flavor.

$4.50 bottle from Beer Run. Pours orange-honey colored with a dusting of a head around the edges. Aroma is sour stone fruit, cinnamon, apple. Flavor is sour apple, cinnamon, heavy cayenne - both the flavor and heat, green pepper. Boy wasn't expecting that heat punch. A big boozy too, but at 14% I guess it's hard to hide.

$3.75 bomber, Beer Run. Pours murky brown with a small beige head. Aroma is slightly sour pumpkin, a bit of cinnamon, maybe some crust. OH that flavor... this is alcoholic pumpkin pie. Whipped cream, pumpkin, nutmeg, cinnamon, cove, crust, booze. Really nice.

Meyer lemon, slightly briney, with hints of marshmallow fluff. Clear yellow, thin head. Tart lemon. Light body, moderate carbonation, very tart. Simple.
