Pint can from Wine Warehouse. Pours pale golden with a large white head. Aroma is cucumber, cantaloupe, light citrus, floral hops, grass. Flavor is sweet tart (though not terribly tart), cantaloupe, cucumber including seeds, floral notes, green grass. I don't care for cantaloupe or cucumber all that much, but this is pretty tasty.

$3.45 bottle from Wine Warehouse. Pours golden with a dusting of a white head. The sour aroma and bacon combo are there, but not overly pleasant. Flavor is fruity sweet tart, light crunchy bacon. I don't specifically get dates, and to be honest probably wouldn't get the bacon unless I knew it was supposed to be there. This one doesn't really do it for me.

An at home just seemed weird all around. Nose is honey sour fruit some pesticide. Tastes of same like mango juice left in sun with bong residue thrown in for good measure. Some lemon and pineapple as well. Seems like a mess to me not all that pleasant.

Straightforward sour ale, a hefty swath of tart citric acidity coupled with a gentle concord grape sweetness and a musty, moderately sour finish. Easy to drink, even if the carbonation’s a tad soft. Citrus nose with a hint of soy and grape. Nothing spectacular, but enjoyable.

Kind of a weird orange-juice-n-toothpaste vibe, with the mint clashing mightily with the tart citrus notes. Lots of bright berry-orange-lemon sourness on the front end, with grapefruit skin and mild graininess on the finish. The mint throws things out of whack, though, adding an herbal bitterness that never comes together with the sharp wild ale notes. Pours red-orange with a slight off-white head and little lacing. Nose is sour green apple with a modestly sweet undertone. Perky texture fits the style. Not my thing.

16 oz can. Pours a hazy pale yellow color with a small white head and poor retention. Minimal lacing. Has a Belgian yeast nose. The taste follows the nose, but the yeast notes are subdued by a light tart citrus flavor. Medium body and a short finish.

16 oz can. Pours a cloudy dark amber color with a thick beige head and great retention. Good lacing. Faint peanut nose. Smooth and sweet malty flavors of light caramel and peanuts. I wish the flavors were stronger. Medium body. A little light for a brown ale. Very little coffee notes. 6.6 ABV is invisible. Easy drinking.

Pounder: Caramel and thistle nose. Clear amber, medium head, little retention. Caramel approaching butterscotch, possibly lemongrass. Medium body, easy carbonation. Not tropical at all. English pale ale, maybe?
