Description
We are a Cooperative Brewery in Belfast owned and run by our members. Opening our doors in 2014, we are the first brewery in NI to bring together modern US styles with the more traditional Belgian/French style beers.
They’ve been leading the way in their native Northern Ireland, specialising in excessively hoppy Pale Ales, decadent Stouts and barrel-aged Sours and Saisons. Utilising the legendary Simpson’s Malt, a broad variety of American hops and all yeasts great and small Boundary beer is always of the highest quality, full of exciting flavours and packaged in beautiful cans.

Lattina.

From tap at Taplokaal Gist, Utrecht. Aroma is loads of sweet raspberry, with notes of raspberry candy. Not as hoppy as I'd like, lacks IIPA character. Pretty sweet, medium body. Okay Fruit Beer I guess, but overall a disappointment, where are the hops?

Can from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is sweet canned peach with herbal vegetable-ish yeast and peach candy. Flavour is moderate sweet, lightly tart, body is medium. Hmmm, not exactly what I hoped for. The peach is there alright, but the Saison I find wanting.

440ml can. Murky golden, small white head, lovely lacing down the glass - almost idyllic looking NEIPA right there. Aroma of zesty citrus, floral, peach, passionfruit, mild herb. Taste is sweet, tropical, passionfruit, peaches, zesty lemon and lime, grapefruit, a little gooseberry and vinous note at the end, pithy hop bitterness and a slight herbal infusion again. Medium-full bodied, super soft. The floral parts seemed a bit out of place but otherwise a great collab.

Can from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is fruity hops with pine resin, roasted malt, citrus, orange, tropical fruits, grapefruit, tangerine, some chocolate. Touch of weedy Mosaic. Flavour is fairly bitter with a moderate to medium sweetness. Body is medium. Nicely fruity, wouldn't say this has minimal roast character, but certainly hop-forward. Very nice.

Can from De Bierverteller, Utrecht. Aroma is loads of milk sugar with hops, tropical fruits, mango, oats, orange, touch of pine. Flavour is pretty sweet from all that lactose with a modest bitterness. Body is above medium. Bit of an oat & milk sugar IIPA on overdrive.

Can from Drankenhandel Leiden. Ripe fruity marmalade aroma with Belgian yeast, ripe stone fruits, pine resin, malt, canned peach, some bubble gum and banana. Flavour is pretty sweet with a moderate bitterness. Body is above medium. Ripe, sugary fruits, the yeast is definitely there. Decent, but not really my IIPA.
