Description

We brouwen ons bier volgens de slogan "Beer for Thought".

Clear golden colour with fluffy head. Aroma and flavour have plenty of fresh citrusy notes. There’s a nice wheaty background too.

33 cl bottle @ home (brewed @ InBier). Pours a cloudy yellow golden color, Frothy white head. Aroma is juice punch indeed, tropical and citrus, zesty, yeasty. Retronasal it’s citrussy, zesty, juicy, somewhat bitter as well. Flavor is juicy sourish, light bitter. Soft carbonation. The sharpness of the hops is there. Light medium bodied. Long finish, citrus peel, moderate bitter. Probably the best Dutch NEIPA so far.

Hazy blond with soapy head. Aroma and flavour have plenty of citrusy hops with tangerine being quite prominent.

8 3 7 3 16 33 cl bottle @ home, 5 days after bottling! Brewed at InBier btw. Murky yellowish golden color. White head with some patches retention. Aroma’s: skunky hops, weed, fruit, yeast. Retronasal about the same, fruit is not upfront, but lots of herbal hop character. Flavor is rather mild, light bitter, a bit yeasty, maybe a bit sweet even. Light bodied. The usual sharp hop sensation, esp. after warming up. A bit fruity, yeasty, light bitter finish. Nice, but not as juicy as I’d hoped. Maybe I’ve been spoiled already....

--- Beer merged from original tick of Juice Punch on 20 Jul 2017 at 07:39 - Score: Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 8. Original review text: 33cl bottle at home. Hazy golden pour with a medium-height off-white head. Notes of unripe mango, pineapple, citrus, lemon zest, orange jelly and confiated oranges. Right now it has a weird lemon zest and grass bitterness characteristical to really fresh NE IPAs (like Heady Topper, now that I think of it) - I will set a bottle aside and try it again in a few weeks, see if anything changes.

Bottle from het Biermoment, bottled 20/04/17, 33 cl sample. Murky beige color, big rocky head. Aroma of citrus, stone fruit, tropical fruit bowl. Soft bitterness in taste, fruity, slight yeasty note. Bit thin in the finish and a bit high in carbonation. Ok.

Sampled from bottle at Floris’s leaving tasting. Hazy golden with white head. Sweet malts, orange juice, tropical fruit, mango, peach, grapefruit, light dough, big grassy and weedy hops. Moderate sweet and bitter. Medium body and soft carbonation. Nice fruity, yet dry and crisp sessional beer. Well done!
