710 ML Can: (!) Clear, very pale gold with a huge, foamy white head. Lemon, barley.....slightly sour aroma. Taste is barley malt, water, cornflakes....a dream come true....all the taste and body of an NA with bonus alcohol. ....and at a remarkably frugal price-point......so cheap, in fact, that Shrubber85 gave me a whole giant-ass can all for myself.....what a pal.

24 ounce Tallboy can. Sour milk, light malt, and straw aroma. Golden yellow with giant white head. Lightly sweet barley malt and mildly bitter straw flavor. Light body. At 4 cents a ounce, this is money well spent for me and my whole family.

From old tasting notes. Bright orange amber color. Big bubbles lead to a rocky beige head. Aroma of lightly toasted malt with a hint of graininess. Light malt flavor with a hint of cocoa. Mild grassy hops in finish.

Can split at RB Best awards dinner, thanks to Joenugs, 30/01/16. Clear golden orange with a moderate off white covering. Nose is grains, faint caramel, raw booze, cereals. Taste comprises sweet licks, varnish, malts, grains, cereals, sugar, harsh fruit esters. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close, raw booze burps. Decent enough ’Licker.

From old tasting notes. Orange gold color. Rocky white head. Spicy toasted malt nose is complex and inviting. Very hoppy upfront with a big bitter mouthfeel. Lots of carbonation masks a very flavorful ale. Finishes dry with a complex grapefruit peel aftertaste.

Can: Clear yellow-gold with a soapy white head. Grain, lemon, corn scent. "Taste" was tangy-spoiled fruit, Likka malt, aluminum, and a harsh, burning grain-alcohol-ness. My sample was gifted to me by Shrubber85....that scamp..... It was in a clear, repurposed ginger ale bottle, filled all the way to the top and capped. I drank about 3 oz of it...then an additional ounce to truly appreciate the magnitude of it’s horribleicity.....after a moment of eye twitches and minor, yet alarming anal leakage, I walked out to the street, poured a modicum of it out for my dead homies, smashed the bottle, brandished the jagged neck menacingly, and shouted "GANG WAAAAR!!!!!!!".......sadly, no one was around.....(crickets)......so I cleaned up my mess like a good citizen, added the shards to the recycle bin and went back inside to think about my life.......... Well played, Roger........well played.

Can (24 ounce - dammit, cheated out of 16 ounces). Sour corn/barley malt and grass aroma. Golden yellow with large but short lasting head. Mildly sweet lemon, corn/barley malt flavor followed by...oh my God, what is that? Bile?!? An intense bitter rotten lemon peel flavor to finish. I think this crap is giving me an instant hangover. Oh, City Brewery - I hate you so much. Patrickctenchi is gonna have to work hard to pay me back for this beauty.

Clear pink watermelon pour with no head or lacing. Looks like soda. Smells like sugar. Tastes like liquid candy with an alcohol burn finish. Super sweet and sticky. The 12.0 ABV is pretty well hidden. It serves It’s purpose. Liquid headache. Not beer.

Bottle. Sassafras/sarsaparilla, vanilla, and dry hay aroma. Dark brown with moderate tan head. Very sweet sassafras/sarsaparilla, vanilla, caramel malt, and mildly bitter hay flavor. Nice body. A very nice hard root beer - probably the best I’ve had. Would probably drink this before most regular soft root beers. A great Aldi’s bargain if you’re looking for a solid hard root beer - beats most of the more popular versions.
