24 oz. can. Pours pale gold with lots of bubbles and a big, fluffy, cream colored head. The aroma is corn syrup, wet hay, a bit of tin and stone, with some caramel and grain alcohol. Sweet, with a surprisingly well balanced bitterness. Medium body, sticky, and a little astringent. This isn’t as awful as I expected.

Can. Corn, biscuit malt, and straw aroma. Golden yellow with large white head. Moderately sweet orange/apple/vegetal, biscuit malt, and mildly bitter straw flavor. Good body. Just on the border of being crappy while still being tolerably drinkable.

Ive always heard tales of Four Loko but alas never ran across any in my normal course of business but I randomly walked into a local bodega for no real reason to discover this rarity. Pours a completely unnatural hue of copper. Nose is vitamins. Tastes like a good old fashion red bull vodka, which while it’s been a long time, it helps me reminisce of some crazy old times. Anyways this is terrible tasting if that’s what you judge your liquids on.

23.5oz can, that had been in the freezer for a while, pours with a clear deep gold body that supported a 5 second head. The aroma pulses with sugary sweetness. I get a raspberry Kool-Aid fruitiness and then a grape / boysenberry Kool-Aid blend with corn syrup and a hit of boozy heat rounds out the experience. Ok. Like it or not it is time to taste this and before it becomes any warmer. The taste is hugely sweet and candy like as if it was a syrupy candy like Lindemans Framboise fruity beer. I get dark sweet grapes, ripe red apples, honey drizzled pears, boysenberry, sugary table sugar and even more sweetness. This is amazingly short on abrasive hot booziness that a 14% beer should have (and a hot sharp boozy mess might be what this needs to cut the hazardous levels of sweetness). If I try and imagine this being a mead it is almost tolerable for a few very brief moments until I notice the mead richness is missing.

23.5oz can pours with a pale clear pinkish purple body that supported about a quarter second white “head.” The aroma offers up loads of berry sweet Kool-Aid, table sugar and honey. The taste delivers carbonation enhanced berry juicy Kool-Aid notes flowing into a light sense of booze and chemical booziness. Wow, the ABV is very well hidden and this is right up there with the upper tier of dangerously drinkable Kool-Aid beers.

Can - pour rosse color - nose/taste of fruit candy and dirt. Lots and lots of dirt. Full bodied awfulness - 9th anniversary.

Can. Pineapple/coconut syrup and alcohol aroma. Golden yellow with some head initially but that is quickly gone. Ungodly sweet (cloying just doesn’t seem to be strong enough) pineapple/coconut syrup and light alcohol flavor. Only positive I could find was that I couldn’t really detect any fusel alcohol. This hurts my liver AND my pancreas.
