Can: Clear, dark gold with a quick off-white head. Aroma is evident at arm’s length and immediately.....honey, old, soft apple and pear, feet.....yes...I said feet. Taste is sugary, fruit nectars, candy.....up to and including the gold foil aspect in some wrapped candies.... Old, OLD overripe fruits and fermenting (still) alcohol heat.....a big helping of ginger. Like a frat-boy fruit punch gone terribly awry. Harsh, man.....harsh...... It’s still sitting there.....breathing...in a sample glass to my left....every few minutes I pick it up, smell it and take a miniscule sip......just to prove to myself that this is not some hallucination or fever dream.....sadly, it remains real. I cannot fathom ANYONE consuming more than an ounce of this, nor would I recommend it......absolutely horrid......painful, even. Shared with me by my brother shrubber85....who apparently I’ve shortchanged on trades one too many times......well played, Roger.......thus endeth the lesson.....

Man-sized can shared - appropriately - at the 2016 RateBeer Best Awards. Many thanks to Joe for procuring and sharing this regional gem. The beer pours clear honey-gold with a frothy, white head. The nose holds simple white bread and light caramel. Medium to heavy sweet flavour, with some cereal, honey, caramel, pale breads. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Sugary finish, with further pale bread, alcohol, light cereal and caramel, almost no bitterness. Pretty solid malt liquor. Good boost, but still very drinkable.

RBWG16. Oh yeah, it’s a real tasting now. Thanks Joe for sharing this beauty. There’s no appearance rating from this since I chugged it straight out of the 32oz can. The sense of aroma I get through the tiny can opening offers up a nice corn sensation as well as booze and a bit of fusels. The taste delivers decent levels of sweet corn notes and then quickly getting into boozy fusel chemicals. Pretty decent ML and rated not as intended as it was on the warm side.

Can. Light lemon, barley malt, and hay aroma. Golden yellow with large white head. Sweet corn syrup, barley malt, and mildly bitter hay flavor. Decent body. Not bad for the price.

Can. Corn, barley malt, and straw aroma. Pale yellow with large white head. Sweet creamy barley malt and mildly bitter fresh hay flavor - initially seems like it is going to be too sweet but eases off to a nice flavor. Medium body. Pretty good - if it weren’t for that initial burst of sweetness would be very good.

Can. Orange malt and peel aroma. Golden yellow with moderate head. Lightly sweet orange caramel malt and moderately bitter grapefruit peel flavor. Not bad for the price ($4 a sixer or $10 a case).

Can: Light gold with a small white head. Nearly identical to the Lager....just not as robust, of course. The same lemony grain malt aroma and flavours.....just lighter. Again, at 3.99 a six......worth it.

Can: Pours clear, light gold with a tall white head. Slight lemon polish over grain aroma. Taste is surprisingly non-offensive.... Again, that lemony/grain tone. This one is tricky to rate....It’s just a cheap lager, but it’s a perfect cheap lager.....as a throwaway beer on a hot day, it’s excellent...as far as being "crafty"....well....no, but in the end I liked it....plus, 3.99 a sixer? Win-win for us cheap, crappy lager heads.

Can: Clear amber with a sudsy white head. Grapefruit-peel aroma. Taste is orange malt, grapefruit/orange-peel. A bit watery.... A very generic IPA at best...nothing new or outstanding. Not bad....sessionable......if you are in a bargain IPA mood....
