Classy clear glass 40 pours with a thin clear pale gold body that supports a tiny white head. The aroma offers up an estery mess of sweet apples and pears and then a sliver or two of corn flowing into boozy table sugar. The taste is similar and it gets harder and harder to drink the deeper you go into that 40. So it’s all sweet with honey covered apple wedges and pear like juiciness that’s balanced off by a slight corn flake sort of cereal sensation and then modestly sharp booziness. All in all not bad for a 10.5% boost vehicle.

24oz can pours with a clear deep gold body that supports a thin near white head. The frigid mild aroma offers up some sweet apples with faint corn and chemical booze off in the background. The taste delivers thin honey sweetened pears and apples. To midway it allows thin layers of corn and sugary sweet cane sugar to be heard amid the not too offensive sweet fruitiness. Toward the finish modest chemical booze helps take this to a forgettable conclusion.

Sampled from a 12 oz can this beer poured a bright yellow color with a huge creamy white head that lingered and left decent lacing. The aroma was sweet, tangy, citric, grassy and perfumey. The flavor is tangy and a bit sour with grass and perfume notes. Short finish. Light body.

On tap at Bodega. Pours a clear light gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of sweet corn and straw with a touch of bread backing. Flavor is similar with corn and straw with some sweet grains underlying. Slightly crisp.

24oz can of love pours with a crystal clear pale gold body that supports a decent nearly bright white head that faded to loose assortment of bubbles in about a minute. The aroma offers up sweet smelling fruity esters like pears and apples that are drizzled with white sugar. Behind the fruitiness, this beer is just above freezing right now, are mild chemical booze notes and a sliver of corn flakes. The taste starts watery and neutral and then the sweet light skinned fruity onslaught starts with honey covered pears and apples. To midway it picks up a non sweet note that must just be straight up booze or maybe … I don’t know. It’s still friggin cold which is likely helping the flavor tremendously. Drink cold to slushy for that lack of flavor and 100% boost you’re looking for. I did.

Saved for rating 2600. Pours a clear pale yellow, with no head. Pretty standard cheap likka aroma. Corn, grains, green apple and cotton candy. Taste follows suit, super boozy in the finish. Maybe a little grape drink in there.

710mL black labeled can courtesy of Aaron. Thanks! This Malt Liquor goodness iced down to near freezing pours with a clear watery gold body that supported a ten second head that fell back to a weak ring of light tan bubbles. The modest aroma offers up sugary table sugar, sweet thin apple and faint chemical booze. The taste is similar with sugary sweetness and then moving into thin apple sweetness and another faint fruity note that seems vaguely lime like. Toward the finish it picks up modest boozy chemical off notes that are the hallmark of the style. Really cold this isn’t overly sweet but it is plenty estery and then mildly boozy.

Can. Pours a clear pale yellow with a bubbly white head that dissipates quickly to the edges. Aroma has lots of corn and light sweet grain with a hint of sweetness. Flavor is similar with corn and straw up front and a touch of crispness in the finish.
