Can, from the main Crazy Stallion dealer on RB, the GodOfThunder himself. Clear deep golden body, almost no head. Sweetish fruity malty aroma, maybe red apple. Lean, soft, fairly clean taste, touches of wild strawberries only (?!) and it kinda works. As far as cheap shit malt likkas go, this is classy and, and I'm stunned to write this, enjoyable.

0.71 l can that Marko brought from Prague. Huge thanks. Shared with Marko and Ogi. Clear golden, minimal head. Aroma is malty, grainy, sugary, fruity, a hint of cherry. Moderate to high carbonation. Thin. Fruity touch in the flavour, cherry or strawberry again. Drinkable. Onion or vegetable soup hint. Abrupt finish.

Earthquake, canned, of course, shared in Zagreb. Thanks for the thoughts and prayers, GodOfThunder! Shared with Hrabren & Ognjan! Clear pale golden body, traces of a white head. Smells like diluted cheap white wine mixed with equally cheap sakéish... tart, rice. Sweetish taste, rice, tastes like cheap Asian lager really. Drinkable, all too drinkable for 10%, even though it tastes like crap. Adequate beer for Ukrš really.

Can 710ml (thanks GodOfThunder)
Golden colour, mostly vanishing white head. Light green apple aroma. LIght-bodied. Some green apple fruityness. Not much else. Not the most horrible but well ... malt likka.

It is not exactly a good sign when you are locating beers to rate at a truck stop. That is how this 23.5 oz, 14% abv elixir called Gold came to be in my hand right now. But I did get a nice, correctly sized paper bag along with it. Four Loko malt liquors can be short of average at best and god-awful at worst. Let us find out. The smell is kool aid and bubble gum, I can see the sugar overload approaching. And the taste is berry something with some spoonfuls of sugar stirred in. Fortunately this offering manages to mostly avoid the paint thinner/astringent effect I associate with Four Loko. One of their better brews, you understand where I am coming from, all is relative.

Four Loko found a need to add Sour Grape to their roster. Different ABV than regular Grape, different taste also I assume. All this is is for greater minds than mine to ponder, I’m here to sample a malt liquor, for better or for worse. My 24 oz can was bought at a convenience store, anyone surprised? It is a light purple in color, the scent is grape kool-aid. A taste now, maybe some sourness displaces a bit of the expected sweetness. Still sweet, very grape and it has the usual Four Loko medicinal-industrial effect. How do they keep doing that? Not the best from the brewery, not the worst. Faint praise. My summer of slumming continues.
