Aus der Flasche (bbe 31.01.2025) im 2026-06 getrunken. Dieses malzige Schwergewicht zeigt den typischen Charakter eine schweren dunklen Belgiers. Sicher kein Überflieger bei dem Bierstil, aber sehr gute solide Handarbeit. Lecker!

Bottle. Beware: Hard wax layer breaking in a lot of tiny pieces. Color: Dark mirky brown, thin beige head, with some tiny red wax pieces. Aroma: Malty, peat. Taste: Malty, slightly sourish, peaty Whiskey notes. Medium body, below average carbonation. Light sweetness and bitterness. Some caramel malt and dark malt. Interesting combination of base beer and barrel, was hoping for more but it doesn't work out very well, unfortunately.

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Smooth wheat with banana, spicy yeast, coriander, touch of mango. Moderate sweet and light bitter. Medium body. Fruity and wheaty, not overboard on the mango fortunately.

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is unexpectedly peachy, ripe sugary fruit, malt, some spicy notes. Flavour is on the sweet side with low bitterness. Medium body. Sweet with ripe sugary fruit, not my thing.
