Mmm, I love my iced mocha first thing in the morning, especially at the South Boston parade. A secret only we know, indeed 👀

Draft at Central Provisions in Portland, Maine. The willebecher pour is brown amber with a limited off white head. The aroma is soft roast malt, caramel malt and a nice toasted nuttiness. The taste is caramel malty, lightly sweet, the toast and finishes with a hint of the nuttiness. The palate is medium bodied soft carbonation and a clean toasty malt nutty finish. Solid, was great with the excellent food at Central Provisions.

Undated, unlabeled can, which is weird for a rotating hop IPA...drunk 3/5/25.
Heavily hazy/turbid, muted bronze. Large, creamy, dense, off-white head.
Juicy guava and passion fruit with biscuit, cracker, light mineral and melon. Light acidity, but certainly quite understated and easygoing overall.
Just like the HBC1019 version, there is basically zero bitterness. It's chewy, soft, somewhat bland with dull oat and dull wheat-like character. A touch of sugariness on the finish. Just no where near the flavor I expect from 7%, although there's nothing problematic going on.

16 oz can. Deep red / brown color. Aroma of toffee, char, scotch, maybe vanilla. Flavor is pretty nice. Good malts that are not overly sweet or showing a sticky texture. Some mild bitterness, Booze is hidden. Good malt layering.

16 oz can. Aroma is mango, papaya, house yeast. Flavor shows a tropical fruit with a mild floral bouquet. Good balance of fruit and floral, thankfully. Malt is bread like in character with a bone dry texture. I feel like this affair a little bit better on draft but I got tired of waiting to try it. I like it.

Can (2/10/25) from trade with CLW--thanks, Chris! Cloudy yellow, nice sparkle and head with good retention and light lacing. Aroma is strong melon, berry over citrus, late hint of herb. Taste follows aroma. Smooth, silky texture, soft carbonation, finish as taste. Good strength, everything in nice balance and good complexity. Well done!

16 oz draft. Aroma is mild chai and soft vanilla. Flavor has a light honey malt background with the vanilla and chai, notes of cinnamon. Thankfully both are Vanilla & Chai are restrained and not heavy handed. Very enjoyable. Refreshing character.

Can from Andover Classic Wines. Virtually opaque cola brown, light sparkle, quickly receding foamy head, light lacing. Aroma is earthy roasted malt and coffee over cocoa/baker's chocolate. Taste is strong roasted coffee and malts, late baker's chocolate. Smooth, frothy texture, soft carbonation, lightly bitter finish as taste. Appreciate the non-adjuncted nature of this and decent strength, but don't love almost exclusive bitterness.
