Can from Liquor Junction, Reading. Deeply hazy, bright yellow with light sparkle, thin head with poor retention, trace lacing. Aroma is strong mango, orange, papaya. Taste is mango, strong citrus astringency, papaya, late bread crust. Citrus astringency, lively carbonation, frothy texture, dry, lingering bitterness. Good strength of aroma and flavor but citrus astringency becomes an overwhelming presence. Overall, OK.

Undated can graciously provided by tfontana, drunk 4/8/2025.
Clear, deep ruby-garnet. Small-to-medium, dark beige head, low retention.
I keep thinking I smell dough, but maybe that's the oak. Whatever it is, it's mild. Good acidity from the medium malts, balancing rich caramel, toffee, red fruit. No alcohol noted.
Soft, malty, round and comforting with rich red fruit, toffee and brown sugar, but good dryness on the end via biscuity, toasted malts and melanoidin-like acidity. Very mellow with that interesting, rich, cedary wood character that Jow notes. Was worried this would be just another big, malt, sugar and alcohol bomb, but it's none of that, and really well-done with tasteful oak and well-attenuated malts that aren't chalk full of toast, iced tea, paper and all the other awful things that crystal malts often provide.
