440ml can from Crafty Merlin's beer shop, Darlington. Gluten Free. Hazy golden colour, bubbly white foam head leaving lacing and aroma of tropical fruits, mango, citrus, hop resins. Taste is sweet, tangy, malt, grains, caramel with some fruity mango, pine and grapefuit citrus hop resinyh bitterness. SMooth mouthfeel, medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry tangy hoppy bitter finish. Nicely drinkable.

Can bought from the Blue Boar, Leicester, and drunk at home. Dark brown, translucent with a thin tan head. Gorgeous aroma, some light coffee, milk chocolate, beef tea, lavender oil. Tastes bittwrsweet with a sharp chalky bitterness cutting through the sumptious malty flavour. Long finish, slightly medicinal finish with a light meaty savoury character in the aftertaste. Masterful.

Can from Appellation Wines. Appearance - golden with frantic bubbles and a big slightly off-white head. Nose - blueberries for sure, with some tinned peach. Taste - a broad range of tinned fruit this time, from peach to orange and apple or green grape too. Palate - light bodied, creamy texture. Balanced bitterness on the finish. Overall - this was better than I had expected it might be. Very nice!

Can from Appellation Wines. Appearance - goldenwith a decent head that disappears in about 5 minutes. Nose - sweetcorn, light biscuit. Taste - biscuit, corn and this time a little pilsner hop spice. Palate - light bodied, dry finish. Overall - yeah, good example of the style.

Can from Appellation Wines. Appearance - dark brown to black with a cream to tan head. Nose - chocolate, vanilla and a big cola note. Taste - vanilla cream, chocolate, coffee and again the cola note, but intermingled with bubble gum. Palate - medium bodied, creamy texture. The finish remains sweet. Overall - a big sweet. Reckon it'd be great on cask.

Black beer, thick off white head. Malty smell.with vanilla and cinnamon. Tastes of malt, dark chocolate, cinnamon, cloves. Exactly what you'd expect from a Christmas variant of a beer and it's very drinkable.

Vanilla, coffee, caramel and some black grape on the nose. Sweet taste, lightly fruity with some hop bitterness in the finish. More grape and vanilla in the aftertaste. Medium carbonation. It's decent.
