Can from lowcostbeer, consumed 2 months past BBE. Pours a murky orange brown with no head. Aroma and taste of the apricot and raspberry puree as well as grains. Fruity and modest sourness, light drying close. Light to medium bodied, well carbonated which works well in a sour. Very simple and tasty.

27/9/2024. Cask at St. Albans Beer & Cider Festival 2024. Pours black with a small bubbly tan coloured head. Aroma is boozy, woody, musty, dried fruits, blackberries, not really getting smoked elements which for me was a good thing. Light to moderate sweetness, medium bitterness, light woody sours. Medium body, smooth, low carbonation. Dry finish. Chap who served me this beer reckoned 90% hated it. I didn’t. And apparently the brewery is now closed, which would be a shame if so.

Monday 5th August 2024, the last Minutemat led Shrewsbury Beer Gathering, five guys, loads of beer and bollox. Final beer before my train, cheers Mark for the 440ml can of this, a great way to end our monthly gatherings. Red hue to the hazy brown body, off-white affair on top. Caramel sweet and very 'boozy' from start to finish, not a beer to rush.

440ml can @ final beer tasting, Chez Sophie, Aug 24. Last beer of the night. Pours a hazed deep brown, small off-white head. Enticing booze-laden toffee aroma, continues to taste, lovely sticky sweet character, well-integrated bourbon sweetness complementing things nicely, good balance.

440ml can from Chapter Brewery - Jet black body, little tan head. Not too much in the promised smoked area, but plenty of boozy roasted notes, coffee, chocolate, and a bourbon warmth through the full pint.

440ml can from Chapter Brewery shop - slightly misty straw body with no head. Pleasant fruity vibe, sweet citrus tang, fruit salad sweets, little bitterness.
440ml can from Chapter Brewery shop - the big hitter from the range, murky brown with a short lived off white head. Massive booze nose with treacle and molasses. Very dark fruit forward, more treacle, more molasses, fog rolls and malt loaf. Not much fizz, very steady, but you can tell this is lethal.
