330ml bottle. Opaque, darkest brown, almost black colour with weak ruby shimmer and minimally late awakening, average to huge, thick, dense, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Smoky, dark malty aroma, notes of smoked ham, hints of smoked wood, a touch of smoked eel, dark chocolate, barbeque sauce, treacle. Taste is smoky, dark and caramel malty, notes of smoked ham, hints of dark caramel, a touch of dark chocolate, treacle, barbeque sauce, some bitter hop. Dissolved sugar enriched, watery texture, smooth and soft, simultaneously slightly dry palate, medium to fine, dense, prickly carbonation. Well balanced, fairly complex, could still have a fuller body - pretty good. Eventually a really courageous effort from Barre in this series - they find themselves rewarded with a really good beer. Hopefully the standard Barre customer will recognize the quality.

Sample (thanks omhper!). Amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is floral, wooden, herbal and some grainy tones. Flavour is mildly toasted, wooden, floral, herbal some earthy and bready tones.

Huge thanks to WillemsUrenkel for that one! Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass amber coloured, small head. Mild roasty malty aroma. Starts milder than exspected, malty, spicy. Mild caramel hints. Finish with some metallical notes. Mild bitterness. Could be more balanced. Okay.

Kalea-Bieradventskalender 09.12.2023 (Deutschland-Version) Dieses bernsteinfarbene, glänzende Bier ist wirklich hübsch 💋 anzusehen und auch geschmacklich ist es voll ok, wenn auch nicht perfekt. So ist es relativ süß 🧁 mit einer brotigen Note nach Kwass, aber ohne pickig oder unangenehm zu sein. Ein nicht zu schweres, aber doch volleres Bier für den Winterabend ⛄

330 ml bottle. Clear amber with a foamy head. Some booze, malt, nuts, some citrus, earthy notes, dark bread. Boozy malty sweetness, mild dry bitterness. Full to medium bodied, oily watery texture, soft carbonated, abrupt dry malty boozy finish. It‘s okay, nothing special, rather bland.

0,33 l bottle from Bi Lütts, Wagenfeld. Clear amber in the glass, small one finger light tanned head. Low malty with some sweet fruity elements on the nose. Taste starts on a more malty side, light toasted. Dry malty aftertaste at the palate. Not bad tbh.

Glasklare, schön rötliche Farbe. Süßlich, malzig, staubig in der Nase - erinnert an dunklen Doppelbock. Geschmacklich aber vergleichsweise leicht - obwohl ordentliche 5,8 % Alk. vorhanden sind. Wir finden dunkles Malz, einen Hauch Holz, einen Hauch Leder, leichte Spuren von Trockenobst. Der etwas höhere Alkoholgehalt ist zu erschmecken.

(Draught at Max & Moritz, Berlin, 22 Apr 2023) Pale golden colour with frothy, white head. Malty nose with notes of bread, grain, hay and grass. Malty taste with bread, grain, hay and a gentle grassy bitterness. Medium body, dry. Tasty and refreshing pilsener. Quite enjoyable.

Klare goldene Farbe mit weißer Schaumkrone. Malziger, hopfiger Geruch. Geschmacklich malzig, hopfig, fruchtig mit Karamell gefolgt von Citrus im Abgang. Mittlere Süße mit mittlerer Bitterkeit, mittlerer Körper mit spürbarer Kohlensäure.
