Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Hazy, golden colour. Thick, bubbly, lasting head. Wheaty. Ripe banana. Spice. Taste is light tart dry. Mouth cleansing, light astringent palate. The bitterness, at the end, lingers. Drinks below it’s ABV. A bit odd, but I liked it.

The Lyric. Keg. Cloudy gold beer, small white head. Palate starts smooth and turns minerally crisp .Wheaty malt followed by lemon peel, orange peel and a whisper of banana - bubblegum ester. Very light spice. Smooth finish. Remember Hoegaarden before mass production ruined it? This beer is like a stronger and more bitter version,

Bottle, Londis, Penny Lane, Liverpool. Hazy amber pour with a lingering medium white head. Rather muted grainy aroma. Hops not being allowed to shine here and the bitterness is laboured. Drinkable but lacking any real oomph.

Old Fountain. Cask. Hazy amber beer, bubbly off white head. Palate is light and semi dry. Pretty modest carbonation, Light dry malt. Hops are lightly spicy and with touches of pine and citrus. Mellow orange marmalade and mild grapefruit. Finishes light and semi dry. Not bad but would have been better in keg, As Theydon of Bois states - certainly hoppy enough to be an IPA.
