Cask-conditioned at the Merseyside beeriodical, the Seven Stars, Bristol February 2013. Deep amber with a frothy, off-white head. Sweet notes of caramel and cereal malts, some tangerine fruit and a moderately bitter finish. Fine.

Gravicask, half pint, shared with Finn at NWAF 2013. Nice and clear, golden-brown body. Shiny surface. Smell of ripe oranges. Rounded taste profile with red oranges and citrus shells. Smooth bitter ending. Fine bodied. Pleasing (Manchester, 23.01.2013).

Half pint, cask handpump, at The National Winter Ales Festival. Shared with Finn. Opaque coke-like coloured body, missing head. Malty aroma with a touch of coffee. Chocolate and liquorice taste followed by a bittersweet ending. Ok porter (Manchester, 23.01.2013).

Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, earthy, grass, vegetable. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted - caramel, moderate hoppy, orange - citrus, vomit notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and light moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. IMO a bit borring ! [20111206]

Cask (handpump) @ Belvedere Arms, 8 Sugnall Street, Liverpool, Merseyside, England L7 7EB.Clear medium yellow orange colour with a small to average, frothy, good to fair lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted - caramel, sour fruity malt notes, light to moderate hoppy. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration, malty, pale tobacco notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20120116]

Cask@Lord Nelson, Wallasey. Slightly hazy gold looks with a lingering white head. Decent juicy fruit in the flavour alongside some tidy hoppage. Dry bitter finish. Really tasty stuff. First I’ve tried from this crew and its a good un’.

Cask@Reading Beer Festival 2012 (thanks to the almighty harrisoni for giving a few sips). Orangeish golden colour with a small white head. Aroma is sweet malts, some fruits and mild wood. Flavour is quite similar. Rather bitter fruity finish. A bit watery as for the palate.

Cask@Reading Beer Festival 2012 (thanks to harrisoni, for sharing some of this Pale Ale!). Orangeish amber colour with a small white head. Aroma is cereal, mild caramel, some citrus as well as floral and some mild herbal notes. Flavour is herbal, grassy, mild tea leafs along with some sweet maltyness. Good session bitter.
