About
Oud Beersel is a traditional lambic brewery whose wort is produced at Boon. Oud Beersel produces a traditional oude geuze, oude kriek, and framboise, in addition to releasing their lambiek in 10 liter boxes. Oud Beersel also releases a tripel called Bersalis and a Belgian-style pale ale called Kadet.

Bottle from H.J. Hansen. Nice pink head with good duration. Color is ruby. Aroma and taste are nice sour cherries, wood, stable and leather.

375ml bottle. Pours light amber with a large head. Aroma is slightly acidic, some funk and mild Parmesan cheese. A bit less intense then other geuze. Taste is some funk and cheese to start. Intense acidic, sour, dry finish. Was not expecting that from the nose. Some lemon on the aftertaste.

[3/6/11] Bag in a box at ZBF 2011. 18 months old. Slightly hazy golden. Aroma of barnyard, oak and some citrus. Sour flavor with some lemon and a light lactic touch. Flat mouthfeel. A good quaffable Lambic.

From a very small bag in a box at ZBF2011. Pours clear and golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is light butterish and slight citric. Mild citric and subdued tart dryness. Citric and lingering fruiy. Light metallic and vague butterish. Ends slight citric.

Bottle at the Fiere Margriet in Leuven, huge thanks to Morko for sharing it! Poured a dark golden body. Sweetish light pineapple/bubblegum nose. Light soft malty, slightly acidic grainy taste, dry aftertaste. Cute.

Bottled. A very hazy golden beer with a huge fluffy head. The aroma has notes of lemon, coriander, and yeast. The aroma has notes of yeast, malt, coriander, and duaty hops, leading to a bitter finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.

33 cL bottle. Pours cloudy orange with a huge and white head. Aroma is mild fruity, slight yeasty and caramelish. Classis Belgian flavour: yeasty and slight caramelish, mild fruity. Lingering bitter and fruity.

Pours cloudy golden with a white head. Aroma is sour with notes of apples and spices. Taste is medium sour. Body is light, texture is thin, carbonation is fizzy.

Bottle thx to Dunbar72, cons 2011-01-07 Göteborg AP: hazy cherry juice, wee pink head AR: wee black currant, perhaps cherries are lurking there F: light sourness, sour kriek, the cherry flavor is like that one that you are getting in those Yoggi yoghurts were that jam is in bottom of the plastic jar, medium + bitterness, heavy carbonation. Yolk: as usually more fruit and more sweetness!
