Draft at Goldfinger, day after the Dark Lager Fest. Black in a dimpled mug, slight brown at the sides. Thick head that subsides to lace at the sides. smell is slightly grainy, not especially roasty. Catching a bit of yeast from this draft pour. Solid lager taste; dry in the malts, yet some sweetness in the foam on my lips. Malts make this pretty hearty, moreso when I realize this is the lowest abv beer on their tap list. Just slight graininess, a light today despite the color. Yeah, this isa pretty high rating, but how many European lagers do you find that haven't been getting skunky in a bottle on a store shelf. Come drink this and decide for yourself.

Nice standard amber or Vienna Lager color. Smell is very nicely there, too. A bit of graininess, no extra sweetness, but there is indeed some corn in there, too. Taste has plenty of malt and other goodness. Again some grain from malt and maize. Solid caramel malt taste, but countered by dryness from a noble hop load. Only 12 ibu, so the whole beer is relatively light, yet full.

Draft at Goldfinger. Light gold color in a narrow champagne flute glass. Lace sticks to the sides as the head settles down. A nice sharp nose of noble hops; noticeably hoppier than their regular lager. Malts are light. Just a few bubbles visible in the glass, but the mouthfeel is nice and sparkly. There's a nice fizz all the way down the glass. Even for a beer probably not fermented in the Champagne style, it comes pretty close.
