On tap @... On tap. Russet brown, dark but clear, off-white head. Veggie sweet nose, soft earth. Roasty potato, sweet nuts, earthy lingering bitterness, a little chocolate, red ale wannabe. Crispy & irritating. Liked this.

Short sample pour. I was warned quite hard about how bad this was. Hazy brown ale. Smell is plastic, apple vinegar & teriyaki. Taste is earthy tart apple cider, menthol & odd plastic. You can see the problem here. Obvious infection, but it's been on tap for days apparently. This just framed my whole opinion of the brewery. Beyond terrible.

Half pint of a mistake @Denton. Clear, amber blueberry pour, very faintly tinted head, basically off-white. Dusty, powdered sugar nose. Bittersweet, plastic candy, dried berries, yogurt powder, gum; Super astringent & thin. Not great.

Half pint @Denton. Dark brown, amber highlights, clear, silky legs. Charred earth, charred pine, mulch. Char, lingering pine, saline, blood, soapy finish. Too astringent. Okay.

Half pint @Denton. Lacy, barely hazy amber pour. Creamy, bit of yogurt coated fruit on the nose. Served a little closer to cool than cold. Steel, white grape, menthol, candied pine, decent acidity, fuzzy finish. Muted. Okay.

Half pint @Denton. Clear, dark amber, very still. Minerally, brown bread, super light soy sauce. Toasty, slightly caramelized, minerally, calcium, tasty charred veg, very faint maple &/or smoke, soft acidity, just enough carbonation. Almost great. Surprised.

1 October 2022. At Texas Craft Beer Festival. Shared with the lovely Anke!

A: hazy orange-brown (?), small, off-white head.
A: grapefruit pith, orange peel, soap, mango, vague coriander.
T: sweetish mango, biscuit, orange peel.
F: piney hops, rather harsh grapefruity bitterness, soap.
P: medium body, slick texture, soft carbonation.
Not very enticing.
