Pours a hazed amber. No real head. Scent is candied, dried fruit. Mild sour, funky impressions ( Brett, perhaps some lactic acid). Taste is medium high intense on the sourness. Fairly dry. Fruitforward, makes sense as plum but honestly kinda similar to dried orange. Very low Carbo. Not bad at all.

6 January 2022. At Dok Brewing Company (Hal 16). Cheers to the Teamleader crew!
Hazy brown-amber, no head. Aroma of raisin, ripe red grape, toffee, biscuit, vanilla, soy sauce, almond. Taste has sweet dried fig, plum & raisin in a biscuity, toffee-like malt body that has a juicy, savoury edge. Bready finish with dried fruits and boozy alcohol hinting at brandy & bourbon, very slightly tart (the red wine barrel, I presume). Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Fabulous blend of styles (never to be tasted again probably).

Hazy red, no head. Aroma of plum and plum peel, raspberry coulis, cherry tomato, sour cherry, sour cream, red grapes, almond, soft lemon. Taste has very sour cherry, pure sour cherry and raspberry coulis, touch of sour plum too with a sweetish streak; sour-creamy maltiness paired with an almond note, vague hint of sourdough but still buried underneath the cherry. Very tart, mouth-puckering, funky, bretty and woody finish, with the creamy & funky sour red fruits never disappearing. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Well, this is a little masterpiece.

18/IX/21 - on tap @ Brouwbar (Gent), BB: n/a (2021-1105)
Clear deep red beer, no head. Aroma: lots of raspberry jam, sweet impression, strawberry jam, honey, little oxidized. MF: no carbon, medium to full body. Taste: sweet and sguary start, some honey, bit oxidized, raspberry jam, nice. Aftertaste: slightly acidic, sugary, honey, sweet, raspberry jam, fruity, decent. Not as great as I had hoped…

Definitely red wine forward on the mouthfeel, and flavor, but the vanilla and currants carry it throughout nicely, even on the nose the sweetness and tannic notes are about 50/50. Not decadently sweet but nice medley or meadley hehehehe of flavors.
