Aus der Flasche (Harvest 2022 / 8,0% Abv) im 2026-07 getrunken. Dieses purpurne Cider startet mit einer kräftige Säure und Apfelaroma. Die Blaubeeren kann man nur im Hintergrund erahnen. Hier hätte ich ein deutlicheres Aroma erwartet. Die Säure steigert sich zunehmend, das die Balance am Ende nicht perfekt ist. Ein spannende Cider!

375ml bottle. Misty gold, stable white head. Crisp, apple skin, crunchy core, underlying acidity, the fruity sweetness is still there but subsided somewhat over 5 years in bottle. Nice

14/6/2026. Bottle shared by danlo, cheers Ed! Good pour, golden orange brown, with a few bubbles. A very boozy mead. Sweet, woody, whisky, honey, maple syrup, caramel, vanilla. Rich, fruity, sweet, warming alcohol. Just a little harsh and slightly musty edge but a very good sipper nevertheless.

Clear golden with a thin white head that clears to spotting.
Nose is honey, grains, herb, spice, mellow barrel.
Taste comprises light sugars, honey, spice, maple syrup, whisky kissed.
Full bodied, light oily feel, semi drying close with a lick of booze.
Tidy sipper.

Bottled 6 years ago. Loads of blueberry, fruit galore. I don't get much Saison at this point, but a delicious little fruit tipple.

Pours hazed yellow. Scent is sharp, funky honey, herbal. Taste is full, herbal, higher alc, bit bandaid-like , medium sweet, dry alcoholic finish.

500ml bottle from HOTM. Golden colour, afew bubbles on top and aroma of honey and whiskey barrel, wood, vanilla, maple syrup hint. Taste is sweet, honey, whiskey, woody, vanilla, maple syrupy, with light tartness. Medium bodied, low carbonation, sweet warm boozy finish. Nicely drinkable.

Aus der Flasche (bbe 30.08.2025) im 2025-12 getrunken. In dieser Version der Serie "Sour for the Soul" kann sich die Frucht nicht so deutlich in der Vordergrund stellen und versteckt sich hinter der wieder einmal tollen Fassreifung. Auch alles andere ist hier dann doch wieder wunderbar. Der Säuregehalt und der Körper sind sehr harmonisch und passen zu diesen Sour Ale hervorrangend.

Draught @ De Mederie. Misty pale complexion. Characterful floral Perry pear aroma with interesting floral pear fruit throughout, a little milky perhaps, soft palate with a gentle bitter tang finishing off. Lovely.
