Half-pint, cask ale, shared with Finn at Post Office Vaults. Spotty lacing from a clear amber coloured body, clingy lacing. Moderate grassy hops and pale malts on the nose. Ripe hop fruity flavours, pale malts, and a backdrop of leafy hop bitterness to the ending. Decent. (Birmingham, 14.02.2023).

Handpull cask at the Salmon, Leicester. Light to mid-gold, clear as a bell once it settles, with a full and foamy off-white head. Lovely little aroma with some stone fruit and lychee, lemon curd, toffee. It isn't quite as exciting in the mouth, with a harsh astringency hiding behind the initial sweetness. Slight body with soft carbonation. Better than I'd thought it would be.

Cask at Bird in Hand, Stafford. Pours a hazy amber gold with a small foamy off-white head. It’s slow to settle (but does so eventually) with good lacing. Not much of an aroma – just some floral hops. In the mouth it is sweet with a creamy texture wuth floral hops and a hint of citrus, After a while biscuits can be detected, and the texture becomes more watery. Finish is slightly dry with some bitterness. This is decent – a golden ale more than a bitter though ?
