Cloudy, straw-coloured, with a white head that dissipates rather quickly. A pleasant aroma with passion fruit in the foreground, followed by a blend of exotic fruits, citrus zest, a touch of pine, and distant forest fruits. The taste is rather dry, with lemon and lemon zest, exotic fruit in the background, the pine a bit shy, and also trying to build a light bitterness. The overall flavour is decent, hoppy, but for a birthday beer, I feel unsatisfied.

clear yellow, white head that disappears. flowery and grapefruity and grapes aroma, similar to an old fashioned UK IPA, mild, bit watery but fine body and feel for one at only 4.1%
flavor is grapefrut and flowers, crisp malts, a bit thin and watery but okay for a session lowalcish ipa.

very hazy yellow, huge creamy milk foamy head.
aroma of lemon yoghurt or sour milk, or sour beer with a lot of lacto. Also fruity and exotic fruity notes. Perhaps they combine with the lacto and gives a sour milk sensation.
Flavor is sugary sweet, grassy, various kinds of fruity, vanilla, in fact a bit like a milkshake. no sour milky notes, the end is bitter in an intersting way, vanilla and grapefruit and cream mixed up. fairly sweet beer with both high sweetness and high tartness. unusual beer, even for a milkshake type ipa.

On tap at Old Dairy Taproom Tenterden. Clear russet dark red colour lasting beige head. Yes a rather decent beer. Some toast flavours. Some red malts. Decent strength. Expected a bit more flavour like spicy rye that does kick in at last. Flavour and bitterness both build. Yes somw spicy rye some building bitterness. Decent.

pours clear dark brown, settles very dark brown, smooth but somewhat bubbly slightly fizzy looking light brown head.
roasted and smoked malts, coffee, dark chocolate in the aroma. A light aroma that is quite roasted and fits well with a 5% stout. not milky as some of them are, more dry and roasted, which i like.
flavor is roasted malty, smoked malty, dark chocolate, coffee, quenching in a way bc of the light body and dryness.. long roasted malty aftertaste. leads me to think guinness, but this one is more intense, more flavorful, less dull, yet still feels like a session stout. Good for the style if you want flavorful.

pours dark brown to maghoni brown, settles guinness near black wit h a smooth small brown head. aroma is quite solid and dominated by tonka beans, but also chocolate, roasted malts, brown sugar, vanilla.
flavor is tonka beans, roasted malts, coffee, a bit of smoked malts or hard roasted malts, cheap dark chocolate, bitter coffee in the end. palate is a bit thin, but fitting for a 4.3%er, A lot of flavor, perhaps a little bit too much from other stuff than roasted malts. As lowish alc stouts go, this is a fine one, easy drinking and quite tasty, certanly more character than a guinness, but also comes off as a tiny bit thinner.
