Can. Nose is soy, treacle, leading to chocolate and caramel. Taste is sweet, caramel, chocolate, spice, almond, a very sweet bourbon note in the shortish finsh.
It's OK.

Roasted and medium sweet malty with some dark chocolate, dark caramel, brown sugar, subtle coffee roast, light nutty accents, nice smooth mouthfeel and body, drying roasted malty close. A very nice supermarket porter find.

super nice full bodied sugary sweet malty aroma with some hoppy balance and a little fruitiness, top dollar malty aroma. Bit sweeter than i would have expected an ESB to be, but really really nice aroma.
flavor is not up to snuff with aroma, but still pretty nice, proably closer to english bitter. full and rounded hoppy flavor, several hoppy flavors combining very well to a hop-wall of bitterness. crisp malty flavor with a tiny bit of sugary sweetness as well as some nuttyness and very very very faint fruity notes. all in all a great bitter, good lingering hoppy bitterness.

21st December 2025
Panda thanks to Cloin. Near clear dark amber brown beer, small bubbly pale tan head. Fairly thin palate for the style. Semi sweet dark chocolate malts. Mellow cinnamon. Light bourbon soaked dark fruits. A little esters. Fairly light finish. Tasty enough if a little thin bodied.

440ml can into my huge JUDAS glass at home on 21st December 2025. Slight haze in the amber body, decent white crown on top initially, faded to a wisp and collar after a few sips. Hops rule the roost, with a piney, then citrus feel. Malt action calms it down a little but the hops dominate to give a pleasant bitterness to the proceedings.
