Deep brown with a firm beige head. Big red berry notes, some marshmallowy vanilla, chocolate, faint smoked notes, some burnt malts, roasted malt. Sweet throughout. I gotta say, this is not doing it for me. Seems like a lot of artificial components here. Mid.

Large sample (hand pull) in The Boot on 16th November 2025. Black bodied, beige head. Pumpkin aroma and initial taste, loads of spices in there too, some liquorice notes and pretty sweet overall. A bit too sickly for me to buy any!
Can at home from Left Field. Jet black with a thick tan head. Aroma and taste are chocolate and toffee with caramel. Bitter chocolate to slight sweet. Some spice. Smooth body.

Keg at Brewdog Clerkenwell, London. A black coloured pour with a thinnish beige head on top. Rich, sweet, chocolate, caramel, ginger aroma and taste. A decent effort.

Can. More Reasons. Has that air about it where a beer is brewed with one eye on flogging it to a supermarket. It’s clean and tidy enough with decent fruity hop on the nose, but thereafter it tries it’s best to be as inoffensive as possible. Thin and absolutely forgettable.

Bought for me as a gift, I think from House of Tembling Madness. Drunk at home. I couldn't wait for Santa. I say very very very dark brown, missus says black. Light aroma of roasted malt, walnuts, chocolate. Taste is sweet but not too much so, with a light bitterness (again nicely balanced) in the finish. Cola nut and walnut in the aftertaste. Light to medium body with heavy carbonation. A beer that just hangs together incredibly nicely.

330ml can. Pours very dark brown with a thin head. Aroma is sticky toffee and caramel. Taste has burnt toffee throughout. A little simple.

Panda at home, thanks to Graham Grumbo, 11/11/2025.
Black with a dirty tan cap that dissipates to the edge.
Nose is big on peanut butter notes, chocolate sprinkle, dark malts, light roast.
Taste comprises jammy berries, nutty twang, dark malts, cocoa powder, marshmallow strokes.
Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a light kiss of alcohol.
Fun pastry affair that has a sweet edge but doesn't run riot with it ... sips easy for 10%.
