BD Clap J. Grapefruit aroma, with a hint of gym shoes?! Deep dark black but biege head lacks stamina. Bitter with a smooth edge, guess the latter is what makes it an ’Indian Stout’. Long bitter finish. Medium bodied. Decent enough.

On tap @ BrewDog, Soho. Yeah, I'll go ahead and call this a black looking one. Not much of a head on this one though. It has a little bit of both leather and thin coffee on the nose. Dark sugar and a mild roastiness. Smells quite alright, but I didn't really love the taste. It's really minerallic and mouthdrying. On the border of astringent actually. Old wood and a little cellar dustiness. It's thin oily in the mouth and it's just below average on the carbonation. Nah, doubt I'll even finish the glass. 23.10.2016

Keg at BD Camden, 24/10/16. Light black with a well appointed tan head. Nose is charr, roasted notes, earthy red berry, semi dank hop exhaust, spice, red berry skins. Taste comprises roast malt, pine, Ribena berry, charr, toasted brown bread, grains, biscuit, tropical fruit tang. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, earthy hop bitterness peppers a drying close. Solid CDA.
