For example, fresh elderflowers are abundant in the Welsh countryside so we are able to collect them from our doorstep.

100ml sample, courtesy of danlo. Thanks! Light golden and clear, no head. Gorgeous honey aroma with a little bit of caramel and light earthy character. Sweet, honeyed, boozy taste and a nice alcohol burn going down.light body. A pretty gorgeous drink.

20/12/2023. Bottle shared by danlo, cheers Ed! Pours clear deep golden with minimal bubbles. Aroma is sweet, honey, flowers, heather. Quite sweet with some bitterness. Medium body, smooth, low carbonation. Light tangy finish. Nice traditional mead.

25/1/2023. Bottle shared by danlo, cheers Ed! Pours clear dark gold with minimal head. Aroma is sweet apple, apple core, leather, slightly mucky and funky. Heavy sweetness, light bitterness. Moderate body, oily, soft carbonation. Light dry finish. Nice aroma, but too sweet for me.

750ml bottles from Celtic Wines. Orangey amber gold colour, no head and aroma of honey, floral, heather. Taste is sweet, honey, floral, heathery. Slightly syrupy, medium bodied, low carbonation, sweet finish. Quite drinkable.

Panda at home, thanks to Danlo - Cheers Ed, 02/01/23. Clear copper to gold pour with some bubbles that dissipate edgeward. Nose is tangy apple, hedgerow, grains, light funk, apple skins. Taste comprises bitter sweet apple, sugars, orchard wood, caramel. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light drying close. Decent enough easy drinker.

500ml bottle from Celtic Wines. Orangey gold colour, some short-lived bubbles on top and aroma of apple, caramel hint, funk. Taste is sweet, apple, tangy, juicy, caramel, with light funk and bittersweet tannin. Medium bodied, low carbonation, mellow medium-dry finish. Nicely drinkable.

500ml bottle from Celtic Wines. Orangey golden colour, afew lingering bubbles on top and aroma of apple, skin, leather, oily funk. Taste is sweetish, fruity, apple, fleshy, sugar, caramel hint, with some leathery funk and drying tannin. Medium bodied, low carbonation, medium-dry lingering tannic finish. Quite drinkable.

750ml bottle. Pours dark gold with zero carbonation. Aroma is minty honeycomb and a little alcohol. Taste is quite dry honey throughout. Sweet honeycomb aftertaste. Full in the mouth.
