Description
Abbaye de Brogne was introduced by Brasserie Defosse in 1982 and, in later years, was brewed by Affligem then Lefèbvre. The brand is now owned by brewer Bruno Deghorain of La Binchoise.

Thanks to Bruno, the Abbaye de Brogne Brune and Blonde are now brewed at a brand new microbrewery in the grounds of the abbey itself.

Well done for being organic. Golden, slightly hazy pour. Aromas of amlt and grain, some syrup. Tastes of sweet citrus, some hops and a slightly bitter finish. It is alright and sessionable, but guess the bar for Belgian abbey beers is slightly higher.

Bottle from Willems. Dark brown colour, beige foam. Nose of caramel, dried fruit and varnish. Taste is sweet, malty and a lot of paint thiner, varnish. There is something really wrong with this beer.

Lichtgeel bier met mooi stevig schuim. Smaak bitter hoppig en licht kruidig met iets van hooi en gras. Fijn licht bier met prettig mondgevoel.
