Bottle split at Catraio, Porto, 28/10/22. Mahogany brown topped with a beige cap that veers edgewards. Nose is dark malts, spice, herb, vinous, stewed fruits. Taste comprises toffee, spice, dark malts, herb, fruit rinds. Medium plus bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spiked with a kiss of alcohol. Not bad for the style ... nothing to bother with again mind!

Draught, half pint. @Caminha Artbeerfest 2021, Caminha (Portugal). 14/08/2021 [#4.161 Global - #225 Portugal - #4 Luzia] Hazy golden with a white head. Aroma: gooseberry and bubblegum. Taste: bubblegum, elderflower, tart. Puckering finish. Next one please!

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style X3). Bottle 33 cl - Batch LIGA2017 (BBF 03.2023). AROMA: medium barnyard aroma, followed by medium fruity notes (melon, slight grape) and slight wood. APPEARANCE: deep gold color and no head. TASTE: initial medium-low fruity notes (grapes, melon), followed by low wood. medium bitterness with a dry and a bit unpleasant yeasty finish. PALATE: meidum-low body with medium-low carbonation. OVERALL: a grape ale with a bit too much yeast presence.

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 30A: beet - 29A: strawberry - 28B). Bottle 33 cl - Batch L1819 (BBF 12/2021). AROMA: medium to medium-high earthy/veggy aroma from beet with a medium-low sour background profile. no strawberries detected. APPEARANCE: dark gold color and clear. low white head with low retention. TASTE: medium-high beet flavor with a medium-low clean sour background. medium-low bitterness with a dry and tart finish. MOUTHFEEL: medium-low to low body with meidum-low carbonation. tart profile but not puckering. OVERALL: an ok sour ale but where one of the additions (beet) completely overwhelmed the other (strawberries).

Bottle at home from Lisbon, 7th December 19. Pours a nice ruby red colour. Aroma is vineous, port and barrel. Taste is light tart, vineous, some sweet and light sour, wet barrel. Very well done and delicious

Draught, half pint. @«Brew Coimbra 2019», ,Coimbra (Portugal). 13/09/2019. Red bright colour with a medium white head. Good retention. Aroma is acidic strawberries, tart and soft berries jam. Taste is the same leading to a medium acidic finish. Next one please!
