Dark brown. Thin head head. The aroma has a great barrel aroma, toasted, with deep dark fruits, fig jam, but there's some nutty accents here. On the palate, it's got a lot of that refined barrel. The base has maple accents, a bit more fig, but and some toffee sugar notes.

500mL bottle, pours black with a tiny beige head. Aroma has a nice blend of bourbon barrels, toasted oak, charred oak, and some spiciness. Flavour has quite a wonderful blend of bourbon, toasted oak, a touch of char, and a hint of vanilla. Fairly low residual sweetness. Body is light-to-medium, which is perfect to showcase the bourbon. Excellent.

500mL bottle, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Nose is full of tangy NZ dry hopping, rustic saison yeast, citrus, and a touch of oak. Flavour is tangy, citrusy, with rustic saison yeast, dry hopping, and a touch of oak. Dry, mineraly, citrusy, and lightly rustic. Very good.

500mL bottle. Pours black with minimal beige head. Aroma has really nice dark malts and bourbon. Flavour has toasty bready malts, nice bourbon character. Not super complex. Nice malt and bourbon characteristics, but not particularly well-incorporated. Mouthfeel is kind of sludgy. The components are here, but needs a bit of tuning. Not really the quality I would have expected from this brewery.

500mL bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma has plenty of oak, subtle bourbon, medium roast, and some lightly smoked meat. Flavour is quite dry, with plenty of oak, medium roast, and very subtle vanillin. Medium-bodied, with a somewhat sludgy palate. It's not terribly complex or elegant, and that palate leaves plenty to be desired. Decent, but underwhelming for Alesong.

Poured from 500mL bottle (7.8% abv listed). Brown-ish red with minimal white head. Vinous, background juicy berry, mild tartness. Nose is quite nice, but taste almost seems a bit thin bodied. Still decent.

500ml (thx, Renny!) @ Sales Force. Appearance: purple with some copper notes with a white head. Aroma: rustic notes, lots of Pinot Noir, oak. Taste: along the same lines, semi-dry, tannic, woody. Overall: good one.
