Description
We approach brewing like a musician composing a song.

Each beer begins with an inspiration: from nature, food, or an unforgettable experience.

Production is patient, personal and reflective; the vision evolves until it is brought to life in the glass.

Like the song, each beer is our expression, but the enjoyment and interpretation is yours.

Cheers!

At Alesong, our approach to brewing is patient and artistic. 100% of our beer is matured in barrels and then consciously blended to create a complex and unique beverage experience. Drawing inspiration from like-minded artisans across the globe, the goal is to create beers that are innovative and unique, yet approachable and balanced. And with flavors that range from tart and fruity to rich and malty, there's something for every palate.

We believe that beer is worthy of contemplation and reverence and hope to share that passion with you.

500 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 8.5%. Pale golden colour, only slightly hazy. Small white head. Nice aroma of spicy yeast, brettanomyces / farmhouse, oak and tangerines, hints of pineapple and vinegar. The flavour is moderately sour and vinegary, notes of oak, tangerine and grapefruit, with a dry-ish and woody hop bitterness in the finish.

500 ml corked & caged bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 7.6%. Deep golden to orange colour, slightly hazy. Moderate white head. Lovely aroma of brettanomyces / farmhouse, oak, apple cider and apple cider vinegar. The flavour has the same elements as the aroma, but is a bit too far out on the vinegary side for my taste.

500 ml bottle from a trade with my buddy out in Nebraska. Bottled 11/ 2018. Aroma shows me mild nectarine peel, citrus path, apricot, funk. Flavor shows mild acid, oak, nectarine pith, again funk. Some tartness and light lasting funk.

Bottle (11/18) pour courtesy of AirForceHops--thanks, Chris! Appearance is lightly hazy bright yellow with nice sparkle, small ring of off-white head, no lacing. Aroma is strong pungent tart fruit/champagne yeast, barnyard, milder hint of sweet fruit. Taste is strong balance of sweet and tart fruit like a mix between a wine cooler/champagne/sour candy, later identifiable yeast and nectarine. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with thin, frothy texture, average carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, stays within the tart realm rather than going sour where I don't like it. This is well crafted and there are some things that I actually really like but this is not a favored style for me.

Carby hoppy and sweet, lots of melon and lemon notes for sure, it's great but the name inspired more funk to me, hopefully my other bottle will age beautifully. The beer as it is is great, just wanted more age from something mentioning 12-24 month aged.

More fruity grape than winey grape but I also don't remember the last time I had a syrah wine... Nice sweet funk to it too. No tannic or acid to this at all. #ddp inspired.

Thick chocolate raspberry bourbon milk. Fruited stout done well. It's mellow, curious to see how this is aged.

Side by side with 2018, thick and way more chocolate notes, bourbon still all over the nose and finish.
