Bottle from Beers Of Europe. Clear dark ruby body with a thick beige head. Lively carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of nuts, earth, chocolate and coffee. Flavour of brambles, dried leaves and black pepper. Medium body with a smooth mouthfeel. Soft fizz. An excellent beer. Complex and flavoursome. Would love to try this on cask.

Can from Gloucester Services, Gloucestershire. Dark amber with a very thin head and fairly hazy too, looks a bit like a dank fruit juice. Has an orange-fruit style citrus fruitiness, some pith, slightly dry in taste, with its strength well hidden. A bitterness exists in this brew too.

Cask at The Harp, Trafalgar Square, London (back in autumn 2015). A hazy amber/orange/red coloured pour with a medium off white head on top. Lemongrass, sorachi, rye, coconut aroma and taste. Interesting and rather drinkable. My notes say must look out for this again but it seemed to be quite short lived.

A nice real ale cask served, but this one is a bit oxidized and stale. GBBF Winter2020
