330ml can. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a lasting frothy light tan head. The aroma is roasty malt, coffeee, light liqourice, charcoal. The flavour is light sweet, with a smooth roasty, liqourice, dry coffee spice, smooth liqourice bitter palate. Medium to full bodied with soft carbonation.

Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol 8/1/2020. Pale amber in colour with a tight, white, head and plenty of cloudiness. Pineapple and grapefruit character, citrus hops, ripe malts and a dry finish. Enjoyable.

On tap at the Cardinal's Hat, Worcester. Hazy orange, white head. Moderate hoppiness, bit dank, some fruity notes, somewhat bland, light bitterness.

Bottle bought at a pub in Gloucester, drunk at home. Poured amber with an off-white head. Aroma of malt, caramel, a little jammy fruit and an edge of boiled veg. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness. moderate body, slight watery texture, soft carbonation. Not a great one.

Cask @ Post Office Vaults, Birmingham before catching Sebadoh at the 02 Academy. Pours dark, small tan head. Aroma is fruitcake, chocolate, dark malts. Taste continues along similar lines, additional light plummy notes, smooth light body, layered malt. Decent porter.
