wanted to hate it, because I dislike straight ciders, but the passion fruit adds a not from concentrate element. it's okay.

(Bottle) Pale golden colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, sourish nose with green apples, passion-fruit, unripe pineapple, lemon and a touch of yeast. Fruity, tart taste with notes of green apples, passion-fruit, lemon, bread and a dry finish with a balanced tartness. Medium body, dry. Tickling, Champagne like carbonation. Crisp, tart and refreshing. Quite nice.

Slightly hazy golden and nice orange coloured body with a very faint off-white head that dies very quickly and leaves nothing up top. Aroma of very fresh wild pineapples with a syrupy bite and sweetness that topples the tart component, but the fructose is noticeable, as well as some light bready and yeast scents that do come through, especially near the end. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong wild pineapple and sweet fruit notes that show a maui gold like pineapple bite along with some light tart notes and finishing with some yeast and dry bready qualities - but very nice and super fruit and especially pineapple-forward. Aftertaste shows the very nice fresh pineapple flavour and finishing with some soft sweetness from the fruits and also a dash of floral bitterness and some more pungent malts and yeast than shows up at first. Overall, a nice and sweet, super pineapple cider that doesn't really show any of the apple or 'filler' flavours - this on really hits like a pineapple-based beverage that sits on yeast until the buddies turn into alcohol and carbonation. I sampled this twelve ounce can, purchased from the [late] great New Beer Distributors in New York, New York (on what would be my last trip ever) on 24-February-2018 for US$3,25 sampled about two and a half years later on a very hot day here in Washington on 10-June-2020.
