(473ml can from the brewery webshop) Pours very hazy deep yellow with a thick white head and lace. Aroma of a mixed bag of citrus, particularly tangerine, lemon and grapefruit, some floral tropical fruit like lychee, mango, soft melon, a little green slightly oniony leafiness, solid bready malt character. Flavour is grapefruit and bitter orange peels, floral melon, green mango, tropical flowers, soft resins, feels like slightly more pronounced bread or biscuit than some of the other Badlands IPAs but maybe it's just the hops at play. Finish is dry and lightly to moderately bitter with more of a resin tingle and earthy depth than some Badlands, fruit rinds, citrus oils and florals most prominent in in the aftertaste. Medium bodied, fairly creamy, with average carbonation. A nice one, feels oily and resinous compared to some Badlands but a good 'modern classic' hop profile.

(473ml can from the brewery webshop) Aroma of peach and nectarine, a bit sweet/preserved, with accents of mango, grapefruit peel, moderate weed, leafy hops and a little plush bready malt at the base. Flavour has a lot of 'orange fruit' again, nectarine, apricot, mango, papaya, touches of grapefruit, leafy and lightly dank notes, slightly floral, soft bready malt with subtle sweetness, dry in the finish with quite low bitterness and no real green astringency. Typical medium creamy Badlands body with soft plush carbonation. Good one! Whatever they did with the dry hopping here didn't seem to result in overextraction green hopburn type vibes.

16z (thx, Brian C.!) @ home. Packaged on 2020-Sep-18. Appearance: murky straw with a huge white head. Aroma: pretty pleasant tropical fruits mix bouqet. Taste: along the same lines, medium-bodied, slight hoppy bitterness, a bit earthy. Overall: pretty good.

A hazed golden ipa with thick lacing off white head. In aroma, sweet fruity biscuit malt with resinous floral hops, light tropical fruits, light dank notes, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity biscuit malt with resinous floral hops, tropical fruit, pleasant and smooth.

(473ml can from the brewery webshop) Pours near-opaque orange-gold with a decent white head and lots of lace. Aroma of dank and kind of earthy stone fruit, bitter citrus peels, wet forest, tangerine and green mango, pine resin and bread. Flavor is off-dry and dominanted by underripe peach, satsuma, some green mango, soft floral tropical fruit, bready malt, rindy fruit Eureka vibes for sure, a little piney resin from the Mosaic especially in the dry moderately bitter finish. Medium bodied and creamy with slightly above average carbonation. I like Mosaic and am equivocal on Eureka, so the hop profile worked fairly well for me but is definitely on the unripe rindy resinous side. Well made brew though!

(473ml can from the brewery webshop) Pours a quite murky deep gold with a big head of fine white bubbles and lots of lace. Aroma is creamy orange candy and ample tangerine and orange peel bitters, undertones of tropical and leafy hops, light bready malt. Flavour is off-dry and loaded with tangerine oil, orange blossoms, leafy peppery dank-ish hops, a little creamy tropical fruit but not as much as the nose, a little bready malt, finishing dry and lightly to moderately bitter with nice bite of citrus bitters. Medium-bodied, slightly overcarbed but quite creamy and getting quite light the bottles. I don't quite like the hop profile as much as Batch 3 even if the mouthfeel is a bit better, it needs a little more juice to match the citrus oil and herb vibes IMO.

Aroma of nice intense citrus peels and oils, especially tangerine, with a mixed tropical fruit cocktail and some nectarine in there, fairly dank, brioche malt vibes underneath but nice juice. Flavour is slightly sweet up front with more tangerine, nectarine, dank fruity grapey/berry type notes in the middle of the sip, creamy tropical vibes too, softly bready malt, drying completely on the finish with mixed citrus peel and Five Alive hits, quite low bitterness and a little minerality. Medium bodied and somewhat creamy, a bit overcarbonated but better when swirled. A big step up from Batch 2 in returning to the bottle-level brews in both feel and hop character, nice one.

Aroma is quite sweet and juicy tangerine and grapefruit, moderate mango, a little pit fruit, floral berry/tropical notes, some candy sugar vibes to the sweetness, pretty full. Flavour is off-dry with tangerine and orange the most prominent notes, some sort of berry candy floral vibes, lightly dank underripe mango, slightly bready/grainy malt, light leafy bitters in the dry finish. Light to medium bodied, without the same fuller creamy mouthfeel of the bottled beers. This is definitely a decent IPA but not up to the level of the bottles yet, something the brewers obviously agree on.

(500ml bottle from the brewery) Pours murky deep brownish yellow with a thick white head that has good retention and leaves lace. Aroma of pineapple, mango, coconut flesh, soft citrus, fresh young leaves, vermiculite. Flavour is sweet smooth candied pineapple, accents of guava and mango, light creamy coconut compared to some Sabro beers but it's definitely there, soft bready malt, some white grapefruit peels in the middle to the finish, soft leafy notes, off-dry up front finishing bone dry and almost crisp with very low bitterness. Medium-bodied with a plush pillowy mouthfeel and creamy carbonation, nice mouthfeel to these Badlands brews. Good one.

(500ml bottle from the brewery) Pours murky dull orangish-gold with a thick white head and spotty lace. Aroma of candied mango, peach, moderate weed, pine resins, light cereals, some accents of berry and citrus peels. Flavour is lightly to moderately sweet and pretty juicy up front with peach and some mango leading, subtle strawberry with a bit of phenolic berry pips, some clear bready quality to the malt, moderate piney, weedy earthy Simcoe vibes into the finish which is dry with pretty low bitterness. Medium bodied, creamy and smooth with soft carbonation. Interesting hop profile, I like Simcoe but don't really know Belma. Tasty.
