Bottle: Poured a deep brown color ale with a nice large foamy head with good retention and some good lacing. Aroma of oak and whiskey is more dominant then I had anticipated with some spicy rye notes also noticeable. Taste is also dominated by whiskey notes with light alcohol notes discernable with spicy rye notes and some oak notes are also noticeable. Body is quite full with good carbonation and some alcohol was apparent. Interesting but in the end there was too much oak and whiskey notes for my own taste.

A hazed amber IPA with a thin light mocha head. In aroma, a strange marmelade with funky notes, floral hops, menthol, very strange. In mouth, a smooth piney and coniferous hops, bizarre and buttery. Cask Days, Oct. 30 2011.

Lactic a bit, traces of whiskey and wood but the flavor is dominated by dark cherries, berries and a strong port-like character.

A reddish copper ale with a thick creamy mocha head. In aroma, sweet caramel malt with vinous notes, very nice. In mouth, a nice caramel malt with dark fruits, licorice, figs, alcohol warmth, very nice. Bottle from 2011.

On second taste this is much better than the first time I had it. Lots of coffee and quite a lot of bitterness in this. Pours black with some mocha head and lacing. Some light sourness in finish. Bottle thanks to iphonephan.

Bottle. Pours a dark brown color with a small off-white head. Has a roasted malty caramel chocolate aroma. Roasted malty chocolate flavor. Has a roasted malty chocoalte caramel finish.

Bottle thanks to Kyle. Pours cloudy yellow. White head. Nose/taste of mostly sweet cereal. Nose has some sweet malt and florals. Taste also has some of the same. Sweet cereal finish. Medium body.
