Can purchased at the Mr. Hop Webshop. Yellow-hazy amber, super high carb sea foam head. Very fruity tropical pineapple-Orange-nose. Flavor is punchy tangy bitterness with that massive carbonation, more than Weißbier, maybe a tic of sourness coming on - hard to say. It's interesting right now but something's definitely off here.

Maple syrup flavoured pastry stout created for Mr. Hop, a Dutch beer webshop (and one of the most popular ones in the Netherlands today), brewed by Fireside in Sweden. Thanks Meeki for sharing! Mocha-beige, open, moussey ring of foam, gradually dissolving over a black robe with deep wine red edges. Aroma of dark chocolate bars, indeed noticeable maple syrup, toffee, molasses, plum jam, blackberry coulis, coffee grounds, brown rum, toasted coconut, vague vanilla, burnt toast, whisky. Densely sweet, concentrated onset, maple syrup flavours mingling with more modest hints of dried prunes and blueberry crumble, softly carbonated with very full, oily mouthfeel - thick, but not overly syrupy. Thick layers of toffeeish-caramelly, dark-chocolatey and toasty malt bittersweetness fill the mouth, more sweet than bitter though, in spite of a trace of coffeeish roastiness at the back; the maple syrup's sweetness also continues to work against bitterness, but everything remains well in place and all flavours are elegantly positioned against one another. Coconut (effectively used) is present but in a rather subtle, toasty form, while leafy hops support the dark maltiness and a glow of warming, rum-like alcohol ties everything together. Complex, modern, rich, layered, sweet strong stout.

Fles gekregen van Keukeman, geprobeerd met Roelzie. Het is een diep donkerbruin tot zwart bier. Het heeft een chocolade. De smaak is vol gebrande mout, chocolade en maple syrup.

Can at home. Orangy color, white to off-white head. Smell and taste malts, hops, a bit metallic. Not the typical NEIPA tbh. But overall okay and decently drinkable.

Can from Mr. Hop.
A: clear amber, thin, tan head.
A: red apple, pear, bourbon, vanilla, wet oak, toffee.
T: sweet red apple, bitter herbs & tea leaves, toffee.
F: herbal hops, dried fruit, vanilla, warming bourbon alcohol.
P: medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation.
A gentle warmer; lacks some punch at that ABV.
