Sampled at vcbf 2017. Thnx for sharing, Tim and Eugene! Pours black, small ring of foam. Smell is fleshy, some roast. Taste is sharp, intense roast. Nice beer, well made, but nothing really exceptionnal to me. I totally did not get the cognac in this sample...

Thank you tderoeck! Sampled 375 ml. bottle @ VCBF 2017. Black with no head. Nose is heavy thick plastic, far too alcoholic whisky, boozy, heavy roast. Flat overly alcoholic taste, varnish, boozy, roast, one-dimensional, overly boozy, harsh. Plastic flat, alcoholic. Lacks compleixty & finise. Quite a decent brew on its own, there is better with the style & I tried better Juguetes Perdidos beers at the festival.

Thank you kraddel & tderoeck! Sampled bottled @ VCBF 2017. Dark brown, little tanned head. Nose is sweet sugar, dates, molasses, big slab of sweetness & overly harsh boozy. Taste is too varnish, boozy, harsh, very messy with very thick molasses, dark fruits, cane sugar. Simple & overly boozy. Weakest of the beers that I tried from them at the festival, still respectable.

Thank you kraddel & tderoeck! Sampled draft @ VCBF 2017. Dark red amber, little tanned head. Nose is sweet herbal peated, boozy syrup, cough syrup. Taste is boozy band aid, phenolic, peated boozy, varnish, big sugar, flat herbal sryup, alcoholic. Crude & not optimal but it is enjoyable, they had several beers clearly better than this at the festival. Boozy plastic syrup body.

Thank you kraddel & tderoeck! Sampled bottle @ VCBF 2017. Dark amber orange, little off-white head. Nose is sweet caramel, dried fruit, boozy sweet white sugar wine, caramel, dried fruit. Taste is sugar, sweet caramel, sugar, sweet sugar saison, dried fruit, boozy. Body is caramel, sugar, dried fruits. Might need a touch more complexity but a very sweet treat.

Thank you kraddel & tderoeck! Sampled bottle @ VCBF 2017. 1000 IBU DIPA BA. Dark orange, little white. Nose is thick warming caramel, toffee, sugar, sweet cheap sugar whisky. Taste is sweet orange peel, toffee, warming alcoholic dried fruits, sugar, good oxidation, caramel, sweet, toffee,... Body is caramel, toffee, sweet basic whisky. Nice one, good sweet barley wine of sorts. Good stuff, better than the Mikkeller beer with the same concept.

Nose is dried fruit, the dried sour cherry mixed with sugar, maple, sweet vanilla oak, bourbon, sugar, good oxidation. Taste is awesome, dried fruit, figs, raisin, but also the dried sour cherries, dried cranberries, caramel, mocha, sweet chocolate, sweet vanilla, oak, barrel, whisky, sugar,... Lovely thick chocolate body. Really nice stuff & this from Argentina. Neato.

Thank you kraddel & tderoeck! Sampled draft @ VCBF 2017. Black, solid tanned thick mocha head. Nose is sweet mocha, chocolate syrup, cacao, good umami near smoked, thick syrup,... Taste is sweet thick chocolate, syrup, sugar, sweet dark chocolate, warming, low actual cognac character, but huge thick mocha, chocolate with a perfect touch of umami, syrup, thick near smoke, roasted oak, very thick. Massive, really lovely Baltic Porter. Really nice & this from Argentina.

Clear dark brown to black beer, small creamy beige head, unstable, dissipates quickly, non adhesive. Aroma: roasted, quite some vanilla, caramel, banana. MF: soft carbon, medium to full body. Taste: bit sourish, malty, very roasted, sweet and sugary notes, slightly hoppy. Aftertaste: malty, caramel, coffee, little bitter, roasted.

Taste: very peated, bitter, bit metallic, dry, hoppy. Aftertaste: more peat, bit medicinal, alcohol, cheesy, bit offensive, not a fan of this one. Too much peat.
