Description
We opened the doors of our first location in West Kingston, RI in February of 2013. Three and a half years later we took the 20 minute trek north to Warwick, RI. Our new brewery is a 15,000 square foot beast with over 5x our West Kingston production capacity. This new facility features a 2,000 square foot barrel aging and wood cellar for sour and wild ales, as well as a 3,000 square foot tasting room and retail area complete with custom art installations, bar, furniture, and a small retro video arcade. In the spring, we plan on adding an outdoor patio to the lineup. Come on over, grab a beer, and say Hi! Cheers!

Canned 8/14/24, drunk 10/18/24. Clear auburn-amber. Medium-sized, maple-beige head, moderate retention. Nose is beautifully full of fresh yeast with plastery-mineral and fruit. Alongside it, plentiful pumpkin, maple and brown sugar-like notes with a hint of caramel and vanilla character. Clean, no obnoxious spice. In the mouth it's malty, with sweetness from the maple, malt and molasses, but not too much. Excellent dryness and earthiness on the finish with not too much pumpkin, but as much as you'd want. Excellent balance, tending lightly sweet, but appropriate for what it's trying to do (a rich, warming, pumpkin beer for a colder fall night).

Bottle from my brother: pours brown with beige head. Aroma is winy, loads of dark fruit, yeasty. Taste is sweetish, musty, grapey. Pretty drinkable for hefty size. Solid.

Pours murky gold into a tulip. White head with little retention recedes to hug rim. Mango and melon aromas. Thick with bitter tangerine peel and pith upfront turning to orange starburst before the lasting pith and pine finish.

500mL, undated bottle, from the brewery cooler, drunk 9/17/24. Clear copper. Medium-sized, beige head, good retention. Woody, with a bit of buttery oak and more dry oak. Excellent, classic, on-style BdG yeast shows no crude phenols/esters. Light toasted malt but it's not overdone. Everything feels rounded and appropriately aged with a good fruitiness, moderate lactic acidity and mild fruitiness. Can't even definitely pick out the orange peel. In the mouth there's a burst of lovely bourbon. Spicy, lightly buttery, lightly sweet, even. Mix of caramel, toast and base malt shows ample depth from the malt, while there is a strong fruitiness throughout with light citrus, light vanilla and light honey lingering. Nothing aggressive. Very mellow, flavorful and well-aged. The bourbon is understated and lovely.

Undated can drunk 9/14/24. Bright goldenrod-bronze. Clear. Big, fluffy, white head. Nose is oaky, juicy, rich and malty. Light citrus. No punchy lactic, no acetic, minor Brett. In the mouth it's juicy, quite oaky, though enjoyably so. Soft, slick, malty, dry enough. Another killer sour from Proc...

Undated can drunk 9/10/24. Clear, deep brass-goldenrod-maize. Large, off-white head, steadily to cover. Nose is just everything you want out of a mixed ferm....Heavy mineral, plaster, soft, mellow with black pepper, no punchy oak, minimal citrus. Bright brett, under control with minimal lactic acidity. Amazing amount of delightful Sacch comes through, showing the heavy plaster, Blaugies-like yeast. Hops are earthy, dusty, grassy. Mostly stay out of the way. Juicy fruits, elegant and not overstated, linger on. Juicy, lightly tart, lightly spicy and bitter. Lots of pepper from yeast, lots of tart culture and gently bitter hop. Excellent malt texture, lots of chewiness and depth with high attenuation. Refreshing, bright, very saison-esque and nowhere near overdone in acidity (low lactic is nice). Man, Proclamation is criminally-forgotten. Even in their prime, they were only really celebrated for their IPAs. Their mixed ferms/sours/oak-aged ales are just knock outs almost universally.

Undated can from the brewery, drunk 9/8/24. Gently cloudy brass-maize-blonde. Head immediately fizzles away. Wow, can these guys do no wrong?! Insanely soft, mellow, well-developed brett, oak and lacto in the nose with soft, tastefully-done adjuncts. Integrated and homogeneous, the beer shows fruity, juicy, lightly floral watermelon alongside honey and biscuit-like malts, gentle oak tannin and a snappy, acidic finish. Juicy and fruity flavor with a medium, well-attenuated body supported by oak structure. Gentle brett and mellow lactic acid with tasteful watermelon additions. Tart, refreshing, amply-bodied and dry.

Brewery draught, 9/5/24. Clear, bright, golden-brass. Small, white head, quickly to ring. Grapey, vegetal, acidic H Melon hops don't do much for the brightness. Gives it an earthy, musty feel. Clean, bright yeast perks up a bit with white bread and cracker from the malt. More bitterness than actual flavor from the hop (I hate this hop). Juicy, rich body, drying out with plenty of white bread and cracker. Seems well-done but this hop ruins the beer for me.

Brewery draught, 9/5/24. Turbid, milky, small, white head fits at cover. Juicy, tropical, a bit earthy and with timid mineral. Sweaty, rustic vegetal notes are actually quite enjoyable. Firm white bread-like malt. Maybe a bit too firm. Sweet, not horrendously so, but still quite. Juicy tropical notes with tons of candied lychee and mild white grape. Low but not non-existent bitterness. Lingering spice and juice alongside malt. It's close to incredible but just needs more spice and mineral in place of about 20% of the malt sweetness.

Brewery draught, 9/5/24. Rusty copper, clear, small off-white head. Juicy, mellow, nicely aged nose. Grape is neither punchy nor dominant. Brett shares space with mild lacto and light sacch. Excellent aroma strength with honey and graham cracker from malt. Juicy, tart, with Brett and mild grape fruitiness. Tastes of saison yeast that is peppery and yet also mellow. Very malty. Makes sure the acid never overwhelms.
