Bottle thanks to Kenny. It pours darkest brown with a tiny off-white head. The aroma is bitter - sweet, earthy roasted malt, tangy dark fruits, plum, D&B, cola pine needles and coffee grounds. The taste is bitter - sweet, charred roasted malt, burnt pine, rich roast, ashy, peppery spice, wood shavings and soapy citrus with a dry, charred finish. Medium body and average carbonation. A touch raw maybe, but decent enough overall.

Bottle shared at Leightons place 27/03/2017. Many thanks to Kenny for this one. A mostly clear nutty brown coloured pour with a small beige head. Aroma is zesty citrus, lemon rind, nutty malts, pine, plastic. Flavour is composed of soft roast, ash, piney hop, plastic, little woody. Palate is medium sweet, moderate carbonation, sticky hop. Good stuff.

Can split at LKS Hacknee Hights, thanks to Kenny, 27/03/17. Extremely dark mahogany brown with a decent beige cap. Nose is light perfume, charr, pine, straw, biscuit, toffee. Taste comprises chalky minerals, cocoa powder, spice, toffee, charr, pine needle. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close peppered with earthy hop bitterness. Ok CDA.

Keg in the Counting House. Very black with a creamy tan head. Coffee, roasted malt aroma. Flavour is coffee, leather, ash. Not bad at all

Thank you tderoeck! 330 ml. bottle split post ACBF 2017. Black, big creamy mocha head. Nose is herbal, roast, bitter licorice, herbal roast. More malt roast bitter than hop bitter. Taste is herbal roast, mocha, bitter grains, very dry, old school bitter Porter BIPA, herbal coffee, grainy, big dry roast. Not a modern BIPA at all but a quite nice beer.

3/III/17 - 33cl bottle @ post-ACBF tasting (home) - BB: 21/X/17 (2017-353) Thanks to Wixie for picking up the bottle!

Clear dark brown beer, big creamy beige irregular head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: sweet, caramel malts, sugary, some dried fruits. MF: soft carbon, medium to full body. Taste: pretty bitter start, malty, hoppy, grassy, caramel. Aftertaste: bitter hops, some chocolate, malty, caramel, hoppy, bitter finish, very dry, resinous bitterness.
