0.33 l bottle from 'De Hoppenaar', bottled in January 2025. Hazy, golden with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, white head. Sweetish, quite yeasty-spicy, gently fruity-floral aroma of clove, lots of pear, banana and some lemon peel. Gently sweet, moderately bitter, rather fruity-floral and slightly yeasty-spicy taste of lemon peel, pear, clove and some banana, followed by a short, moderately bitter finish. Medium body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very decent Weizen, pleasantly fruity, really well-brewed.

Dark brown with a foaming, light beige head. Aroma promises ashes, burnt caramel and berries. Taste is moderate bitter up front with a long, bitter finish. Medium-bodied, the sharp carbonation does it no favors. Decent bock that’s not so malt-forward as the usual offerings.
