DMC Brewery
Microbrewery
in Leeds,
West Yorkshire,
England 🏴
Associated Venue: DMC Taproom
Established in 2021
DMC began as a kitchen brew back in 2018 with husband and wife team Gez and Ele, : a new baby and long working hours left them little time or energy to go out. Disappointed by the lack of good quality alcoholic ginger beers on the market, sharing a natural passion and interest in brewing, they decided to make their own.
Using only fresh ginger root combined with natural ingredients to preserve the true flavours, Gez and Ele have created a range of ginger beers that focuses on bringing a genuine depth of flavour and clean, fresh, natural taste. All the ginger beers are brewed using natural ingredients and use innovative and interesting combinations to enhance the flavour of the ginger beer without changing it from being what it is; an alcoholic ginger beer that is completely gluten free and vegan friendly.

DMC Taproom Visit 2026 Beer#6. Pale golden in colour. Nice exotic fruits alongside the spice I can't recognise, but is light, however evident and lingering, but not overbearing. Perfume aroma and taste.

DMC Taproom Visit 2026 Beer#5. The least spicy experience at the bathroom, only a sweetish honey sprucing thing up here, its apple is more dominant.

DMC Taproom Visit 2026 Beer#4. Furthest right on the palate of three ordered, it's light clear golden in colour. Its pear is good, but its dry chai spices are dominant and linger long in this one.

DMC Taproom Visit 2026 Beer#3. Pale golden coloured brew. Notably smoked, this is a big part of its aftertaste with a lot of charred wood exemplifying this in taste. Ginger is prominent before this at very manageable levels, probably as its vanilla has a subduing effect.

DMC Taproom Visit 2026 Beer#2. A tough beer as the Caroline Reaper influence is very heavy here, and once you've started this one your mouth is on fire whether you are supping or not, it doesn't relent. The pineapple is quite stated and flavoursome, but a secondary experience in this brew. Light golden pineapple juice coloured, and its aroma is full of the fruit.

DMC Taproom Visit 2026 Beer#1. Maybe as sessionable as it gets for a notably spiced brew before it kicks in, it's easy enough in texture and even in its juniper heavy taste. The spiciness grows in its aftertaste and lingers and is quite fiery here. Has a peachy coloured appearance.

Can from Caledonian Craft Beer Merchant. Hazy bronze body with a short-lived white head. No visible carbonation. No lacing. Aroma of brown sugar and ginger. Flavour of honey, lemon and ginger. Thin to medium body with a slick, slightly sticky mouthfeel. Light fizz. It’s a good ginger beer but I prefer mine more fiery and peppery.
