Description
Living Häus Beer Co is a lager-forward brewery located in the Pacific Northwest city of Portland, OR and is co-owned by Conrad Andrus and Mat Sandoval. With a combined 20 years of professional brewing experience, we have become creators, engineers, scientists, artists, and critical thinkers while on our path to brew the best beers we can. We are proud to showcase our ability in our craft with the self awareness to know that we are always learning and growing.
WHAT DO WE MAKE?
We aim to make clean, intentional, and curious beers in our brewery. Explorative, yet refined versions of classic and upcoming styles such as Lager beer, IPA, Stouts, sessionable, restrained fruited beers, and everything in between will have a home on our menu. We strive to use unique and expressive hand selected malts and hops from the best growing regions in the world.
HOW ARE WE DIFFERENT?
We are different because our collective and unique experiences have driven us to the cutting edge of the beer industry. Through our exploration of styles and ingredients, we have developed our ability to make beers that are extreme but have more so learned to make beers that are balanced, nuanced, and delicious.

16 oz. can, pours a hazy bright golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is fairly vibrant, with citrusy hops, some tropical notes, light hop tang, and a chewy caramely bready malt base. Flavour has plenty of citrusy hop tang, gentle tropical stone fruits, a touch of resins, and bready caramely malt to back. Seems a little maltier than standard Living Haus IPAs, and I’m getting less of the Nelson than I would’ve liked. Still, really well-constructed.

Aromas are malt, grain and spice. Flavors are similar to nose and bittersweet. Good carbonation and body. Easy bitter finish. Pretty good.

16oz can from Tavour. Clear brown pour, thin layer of tight off-white foam, light lacing. Toasty aroma brown bread, nutty. Taste brings a light roast profile, woody, malty, nutty with a slightly dry feel. Love this style!

Hazy body with thin white head. Light berry and herb aroma. Taste is more like a pale ale than a pilsner. Not bad. Pleasant mixed finish.

Golden, nice head, looks tasty. Piney aroma and a little but orangey, clean pale malt. Soft blueberry hop note, along with that punchy centennial bitterness. Thank goodness this is mostly centennial. Balanced, quality IPA.

Can from Tavour. Pours clear gold with a large creamy white head. Aroma is bready with something fruity/spicy. Med body. Bready but not sweet. Somewhat bitter. Hop is floral/fruit/spice. Bitterness persists into the finish.

4 oz. pour as part of a flight at Glendale Tap. Clear pale yellow, no sparkle, thin cap of head, excellent retention, nice lacing. Aroma is strong pine, citrus, grapefruit. Taste mirrors aroma. Smooth texture soft carbonation, finish as taste. Good strength. Old school. Fine.
