Description
Living Häus Beer Co is a lager-forward brewery located in the Pacific Northwest city of Portland, OR and is co-owned by Conrad Andrus and Mat Sandoval. With a combined 20 years of professional brewing experience, we have become creators, engineers, scientists, artists, and critical thinkers while on our path to brew the best beers we can. We are proud to showcase our ability in our craft with the self awareness to know that we are always learning and growing.
WHAT DO WE MAKE?
We aim to make clean, intentional, and curious beers in our brewery. Explorative, yet refined versions of classic and upcoming styles such as Lager beer, IPA, Stouts, sessionable, restrained fruited beers, and everything in between will have a home on our menu. We strive to use unique and expressive hand selected malts and hops from the best growing regions in the world.
HOW ARE WE DIFFERENT?
We are different because our collective and unique experiences have driven us to the cutting edge of the beer industry. Through our exploration of styles and ingredients, we have developed our ability to make beers that are extreme but have more so learned to make beers that are balanced, nuanced, and delicious.

On tap at Pizza Port - Carlsbad, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma has a muffled, earthy hop expression and bready malt base—doesn’t seem optimal. Flavour is bitter, with a muffled hoppy bitterness without much flavour espresso, and a bready malt base. This doesn’t seem up to scratch for Living Haus. Nothing egregious, but the hops aren’t expressed right.

16 oz. can, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out fresh piney hops, fresh doughy malts, and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour is bright, with lots of bitter piney hops, light citrus, and crisp biscuity malt. Bitter pine and crisp finish. Excellent.

16 oz. can, pours a clear pale golden blonde with a small white head. Nose is vibrant, with bright tropical melony hops, some hop tang, bright pine, and citrus. Flavour is likewise vibrant, with bright piney hops, melon, some tropical fruitiness, citrusy hop tang, and just enough of a biscuity malt base. Wonderfully bright, cohesive hop mixture, with fairly low residual bitterness for the style. Excellent.

16 oz. can, pours a hazed pale golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma is pretty timid, with gentle piney hops and dry biscuity malt. Flavour is more assertive, with gentle pine, bright tropical fruitiness, citrusy hops, and a crisp biscuity malt underside. Super tropical, fresh, and vibrant, with a crisp yet juicy finish. Excellent.

Can from Tavour. Pours gold with a moderate rather transient white head. Aroma is citrus and peach. Med body. A bit juicy but quite dry and bitter. Flavor is grapefruit and perhaps peach. Definitely not apricot. Good stuff.

16 oz. can, pours a clear golden with a medium white head. Aroma has a more tropical fruit expression to the hops (mango, tangerine), along with citrus and a touch of pine. Flavour follows suit, with tons of tropical fruit, bitter citrusy hop, some pine, and a bit of fruity sweetness. Super clean, vibrant hop expression, with an amply bitter finish. Excellent.
